How can I add text between my form fields?

This article details two methods for adding text sections to your form in HubSpot.

Help text

Help text appears below a form field label and is typically used to provide information about what should be provided in the field.

To add help text to a form:

  • Navigate to Contacts > Forms.
  • Click on the form you'd like to edit.
  • Go to the Fields tab in the left sidebar.
  • Locate or add the field to which you'd like to add help text and click on the pencil icon to edit.

    Next, place your text in the Help Text box
  • Enter the help text you'd like to appear below the field label in the Help text field.
  • Click Done Editing.

  • Click Save form to save changes.

Rich text separator

You can also add a Rich Text separator to forms between your fields. This option provides more flexibility to style and customize the text that you add.

Follow the steps below to add a Rich text separator to your form

  • Navigate to Contacts > Forms.
  • Click on the form that you would like to edit.
  • Go to the Fields tab in the left sidebar.
  • Drag and drop Rich Text under the Add separator section to where you would like it to appear.

  • In the pop up that appears you can add text, images, HTML, modify text alignment, etc.
  • Click Done.

  • Click Save form

Helpful Tip: if you'd like to add text in between the form's last field and the submit button:

  • Insert a field at the very bottom of the form.
  • Add a Rich text separator directly above this newly added property and add text to the separator.
  • Click the pencil icon on the newly added field and select Make field hidden. 
  • Click Done Editing, then Save form

With these methods, you can add text to your HubSpot form to make it more engaging and easier for your visitors to complete.
