Microsoft Advertising connection requirements
-
Microsoft Advertising doesn't support sign in with Google. To connect your Microsoft Advertising account to HubSpot, sign in with your Microsoft account credentials:
- New customers can sign up for Microsoft Advertising with a Gmail address, but don't select Sign up with Google. Enter your email address in the field and create a password instead.
- Existing customers who signed up for Microsoft Advertising using their Google account must create a new sign-in account and assign it the Super Admin role for their advertising account before they can connect to HubSpot.
- Only individual Microsoft Advertising accounts can be connected to HubSpot. Microsoft Advertising customer accounts cannot be connected to HubSpot. Any Microsoft Advertising account managed in a customer account should be connected to HubSpot individually.
- Cancelled Microsoft Advertising accounts cannot be connected to HubSpot. If a connected Microsoft Advertising account is cancelled, it will be disconnected from HubSpot. An error will display in HubSpot next to any cancelled accounts. Learn more about cancelled accounts and how to reactivate them in Microsoft’s documentation.
- If you've installed an ad blocker extension for your browser, the extension must be turned off when connecting your Microsoft Advertising account and when using the HubSpot Ads tool.
- The HubSpot user connecting the Microsoft Advertising account must have the following permissions:
- In HubSpot, the user will need Publish access to the ads tool.

- From the Graph API explorer, run POST https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/servicePrincipals with
{"appId": "d42ffc93-c136-491d-b4fd-6f18168c68fd"}. - From PowerShell, run (after filling in the access token):
