A call-to-action (CTA) is an engaging button or link that you place on your website to drive prospective customers to convert to leads through landing page forms. There are many different types of CTAs. They range from offering a free download to linking to a document to enticing you to fill out a form.
You will want to place your CTA in an email in a location where it is easily visible and where it makes sense for someone to click on it. For example, you might put a CTA to download a free ebook in an email that describes new strategies for using your product. Once you have determined where you would like to put your CTA, follow the instructions to learn how to add them to an email.

Read the following steps to learn how to add a CTA to an email.
1. Go to Content > Email
From your dashboard, navigate to Content > Email.
2. Select an email message
Now you will choose which email you would like to add a CTA to. In the gear icon of your chosen email, click Edit.
3. Add a CTA to an email
In the email content editor, go to Insert > Call-to-Action or select the CTA icon from the toolbar.
The Select a CTA window will pop-up. From here, choose which CTA you would like to insert by clicking the Insert CTA button on the right side of the screen.
Your CTA will now appear in your rich text editor and on your email preview. In the content editor, you can always remove or edit your CTA.
4. How to add a CTA to an email template layout
Read this step if you would like to add a CTA to your email from the the template layout editor. From the content editor, click on Actions and then select Edit template layout.
If your email template is used across multiple emails, a screen will pop up prompting you to create a cloned version of the page. Either Make a copy to only affect this email, or Edit this layout to affect all emails using this layout.
In the email template, you can add a CTA to the module of your choice, or you can create a new module. Click on the gear icon on the module of your choice and choose Edit Options.
In the Edit Module Options window, you can add a CTA the same way you would in the email editor. Go to Insert > Call-to-Action or click on the Call-to-Action icon in the toolbar.
The Select a CTA window will pop up. From here, choose which CTA you would like to insert by clicking the Insert CTA button on the right side of the screen.
Your CTA will now appear in your rich text editor in Edit Module Options. You can always remove or edit your CTA. Click Done to complete the action of adding your CTA.
Click the green Publish button to generate your new email template.
