Connect HubSpot to Microsoft Fabric

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Connect HubSpot to Microsoft Fabric to bring warehouse data into HubSpot or export selected HubSpot CRM data to Microsoft Fabric. Use Data Studio to access Microsoft Fabric data alongside your HubSpot data, or configure a data out sync to export selected objects, associations, and events to tables in a Microsoft Fabric warehouse.

Please note: if you're a Super Admin, opt your account into the Data Studio beta to use this feature.

HubSpot Credits required for certain features syncing data directly from a single warehouse source in Data Studio to the HubSpot CRM doesn't consume HubSpot Credits. If you prepare the data in Data Studio before syncing (for example, by creating calculated fields or joining it with other data sources), those actions consume HubSpot Credits.

Before you get started

Before you connect HubSpot to Microsoft Fabric, review the following requirements and considerations.

Understand requirements

To sync data with Microsoft Fabric, you'll need:

  • A Microsoft Fabric workspace with a Fabric Warehouse.
  • A Warehouse in the workspace to store HubSpot's exported data.
  • A Microsoft Entra ID service principal added to the Fabric workspace with the Contributor role.
  • The service principal's tenant ID, client ID, and client secret.

The Microsoft Entra ID service principal must have permission to create and manage HubSpot-owned objects in the destination Fabric Warehouse. During connection validation and syncs, HubSpot creates schemas and tables, inserts data, renames staging tables, and removes temporary objects. Grant the service principal the Contributor role on the Fabric workspace to allow HubSpot to:

  • Create schemas
  • Create tables
  • Insert rows
  • Rename or alter HubSpot-owned tables
  • Drop HubSpot-owned tables and schemas

Your Fabric Warehouse SQL endpoint must be reachable by HubSpot on TCP port 1433. HubSpot uses TLS for all connections and validates the server certificate.

If your Fabric workspace restricts network access, add HubSpot's egress IP addresses for your account region to the allowlist.

Understand limitations and considerations

  • Microsoft Fabric Data Out supports Fabric Warehouses only. Lakehouses aren't supported as export destinations.
  • Each sync creates a full snapshot of the selected HubSpot data. A successful sync replaces the previous snapshot in the destination tables. HubSpot doesn't retain previous snapshots. If a table fails during a sync, its previous data remains available until the next successful sync.
  • Each object, event, or association pair can be included in one recurring Microsoft Fabric sync per HubSpot account.
  • Each sync replaces the destination table. Table-level grants or settings added in your Fabric Warehouse aren't preserved between syncs.
  • Reconnecting with a different service principal requires adding that service principal to the Fabric workspace with the Contributor role before the connection test or sync can succeed.

Install the Microsoft Fabric app

To connect Microsoft Fabric to HubSpot, it's recommended to open your HubSpot account and Microsoft Fabric workspace in separate browser tabs.

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the Marketplace icon in the top navigation bar, then select HubSpot Marketplace.
  2. Search for and select the Microsoft Fabric app.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Enter the required Microsoft Entra ID information:
    • Tenant ID
    • Client ID
    • Client secret
  1. Click Connect to Microsoft Fabric.

Connect HubSpot to your Microsoft Fabric Warehouse

In your Microsoft Fabric workspace, confirm that the Microsoft Entra ID service principal has the Contributor role.

After installing the Microsoft Fabric app, you'll be redirected to the Data integration tool in HubSpot, where a side pane will guide you through syncing data between HubSpot and Microsoft Fabric, based on the directions you want to sync:

  • Microsoft Fabric → HubSpot: configure syncing from Microsoft Fabric to HubSpot.
  • HubSpot → Microsoft Fabric: configure syncing from HubSpot to Microsoft Fabric.

Sync HubSpot data to your Microsoft Fabric account

  1. Enter the following information in the Destination section:
    • SQL connection string: the server address for your Fabric Warehouse, without the port number.
    • Warehouse name: the name of the Fabric Warehouse where HubSpot data will be exported.
  2. Click Test connection.
  3. If the connection test is successful, click Next.

Please note: you don't need to run SQL scripts to grant HubSpot access to the Fabric Warehouse. The Contributor role allows HubSpot to create and manage the required schemas and tables.

Configure the sync

  1. Select the data sources to export:
    • Objects: HubSpot CRM object data.
    • Associations: relationships between HubSpot records.
    • Events: selected event data.
  2. Select the objects, properties, associations, or events to include in the sync.
  3. Select the sync frequency and when the sync should start.
  4. Click Start sync.

Each sync creates a full snapshot of the selected data. A successful sync replaces the previous snapshot in the destination tables.

Monitor the sync

After you've configured syncing between your accounts, you can review syncing status and history from the sync details page:

  1. In your HubSpot account, click More, then navigate to Data Management > Data Integration. If More doesn't appear in your account, navigate to Data Management > Data Integration directly.
  2. Click the App Syncs tab.
  3. Search for or select the Microsoft Fabric sync.
  4. Click the sync.
  5. On the sync details page, review the sync status, last sync time, errors, sync activity, and sync history. You can also pause an existing sync or manually start a sync by clicking Sync now.

Sync statuses and error handling

The table below outlines possible syncing statuses:

Status Description

Syncing

A sync attempt is currently in progress.

Synced

The last sync completed successfully.

Failed

The last sync encountered an error.

Archived

The sync configuration was manually removed, but can be reviewed for posterity.

If a sync fails:

  • A Failed status will appear on the sync details page, along with information about which tables succeeded or failed to sync.
  • The next scheduled sync will automatically re-attempt a full sync.
  • You can trigger a re-sync manually at any time from the sync details page.
