Why can't I send marketing emails?

If you are unable to send a marketing email in your HubSpot Marketing account, there are a few possible explanations:
  • You are using a HubSpot trial account. HubSpot trial accounts do not have access to send emails, regardless of product level. Trial users can draft/edit emails and templates, but will not be able to send emails to contacts through the email or workflows tools. If you were granted access to send email in your HubSpot trial account, but then reached the email sending limit, you will see a specific error message for this situation. If you see this error, you should also contact your sales rep if you would like to continue sending more email.
  • You are using a HubSpot Marketing Free or Starter account. The email and workflows tools are available in Basic, Professional, and Enterprise accounts only.
  • Your email sending has been suspended by HubSpot's email deliverability team. If this is the case, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
  • You do not have the correct permissions. You must have Publish permissions for Email in order to send an email or publish an automated email from the emails tool. If you do not have the needed permissions, please talk to an administrator in your account to grant you access
