Revenue from closed-won deals can be attributed to your blog posts, landing pages, website pages, and marketing emails based on interactions with associated contacts:

  • Views: a contact associated with a closed-won deal viewed a landing page, website page, or blog post.
  • Clicks: a contact associated with a closed-won deal clicked a link in a marketing email.

How revenue is attributed

The amount of revenue attributed to the content depends on the attribution model you're using. There are six attribution models that distribute a percentage of the revenue differently between different interactions.

  • First interaction: attributes 100% of the deal revenue to the contact's first interaction in the conversion path.
  • Last interaction: attributes 100% of the deal revenue to the contact's last interaction in the conversion path.
  • Full-path:
    • Attributes 22.5% of the deal revenue to first interaction, lead creation, deal creation, and last interaction each.
    • Attributes the remaining 10% of the deal revenue to all other interactions equally.
  • Linear: attributes the deal revenue equally between each interaction in the conversion path. This is the default attribution model applied to the Revenue dashboard in your content's Performance details.
  • U-shaped:
    • Attributes 40% of the deal revenue to the first interaction and the lead conversion interaction each.
    • Attributes 20% of the deal revenue to all other interactions equally.
  • W-shaped:
    • Attributes 30% of the deal revenue to the first interaction.
    • Attributes 30% of the deal revenue to the lead conversion interaction.
    • Attributes 30% of the deal revenue to the deal creation interaction.
    • Attributes 10% of the deal revenue across all other interactions equally.
