Swap and edit your blog or page template

Change the design of a blog post or page by editing its template or switching to a different one. Templates control the structure and layout of your content. 

For example, update a template to adjust styling across multiple pages, or switch templates to change how content is displayed. 

Please note: all blog posts on the same blog must use the same template.

Before you swap and edit your blog or page template, review the requirements and considerations.

• Changes to a template apply to all content using that template.
• All blog posts on the same blog must use the same template. 

Edit the template applied to existing content

1. Navigate to your content:
   • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
   • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
   • Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
2. Click the name of your content. 
3. In the content editor, click Settings on the top right.
4. In the dialog box, click Template on the left menu. 
5. In the Template section, click Edit this template. 
6. If the template is being used by another piece of content, a dialog box will appear. To apply your edits to all pages or posts using the template, click Edit this template. To only edit this piece of content's template, click Clone & edit new template.
7. In the design manager, edit your template. 
8. When finished, click Publish changes in the top right.

Use a different template

If your page is using a layout template created in the design manager, you can switch it to a coded template with drag and drop editing features. You cannot switch a coded template with drag and drop editing to a layout template or a coded template without drag and drop editing. 

1. Navigate to your content:
   • Website Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Website Pages.
   • Landing Pages: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Landing Pages.
   • Blog: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Blog.
2. Click the name of your content. 
3. In the content editor, click Settings on the top right.
4. In the dialog box, click Template in the left menu.
5. In the Template section, click Use different template.
6. On the Choose a template page, click a template to preview how your content will display across different devices. 
7. When finished, click Select template in the top right.
