Analyze campaigns

Measure the overall effectiveness of your campaigns and compare the performance of different campaigns. You can compare up to 10 campaigns at a time. 

You can also analyze individual campaigns in the campaigns tool. Learn more about the different campaign metrics available in HubSpot.

Campaign analytics

On the Campaign Analytics page, review your campaign metrics using the charts and tables to track the success of your campaign.

To view your campaign analytics:

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.
  • In the top right, click Analyze > Campaign Analytics.
  • Use the Date range and Frequency dropdown menus to filter the data to a specific time range. This will filter the data for any tab displayed. Do also note the following:
    • If you select a rolling date range, the data set will exclude the current day.
    • A week in the report starts on Sunday by default. This will apply when the date range selected consists of a week, or when the frequency is set to Weekly.
  • You can view a chart of influenced contacts or other metrics such as sessions, new contacts created.
    • To view a chart of influenced contacts, click the Influenced contacts tab. Learn more about unique marketing influences metric
    • To view a chart including all other available metrics, click the Other metrics tab. In the upper left of the chart, click the dropdown menu and select the report metric.
  • In the upper right of the chart, click the Style dropdown menu and select the type of chart you want to use for analysis. You can select an area chart, a column chart, or a line chart to view your data.
     

 

  • In the table below, select the checkboxes next to the campaigns that you want to include in the chart. You can also select multiple pages to compare impact.
  • If you are on the Other metrics tab, click a campaign to view its details in a new tab. 
  • To customize the metrics that appear in the table:
    • In the upper right, click Edit columns.
    • In the dialog box, select the checkbox for each metric you want to display.
    • Click the X next to a property in the Selected columns section to remove it from the table.
    • Click Save to apply these changes.
  • Enter search terms in the search bar to search for a specific campaign.
  • Click a column header to sort the campaign by that metric.
     

 

Compare individual campaign performance

After you've published several campaigns in HubSpot, you can compare performance data between specific campaigns to see which ones drive the most engagement.

To compare your campaigns:

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.
  • In the top right, click Analyze > Compare campaigns.
  • Click each Campaign dropdown menu, then search for and select a campaign.
  • On the right, click + Add campaign to include an additional campaign to compare. You can compare up to 10 campaigns at a time. 
  • To top comparing a specific campaign, above the campaign, click Remove campaign
     

 
 

  • To filter the campaign data by date, click the Date range dropdown menu in the top left and set a date range
  • In each asset's section, click the performance metric to expand. A list of associated assets for the campaign and metric type will appear. You can compare performance data for the assets included in the campaigns. For example, you can compare the blog performance data between two campaigns.
