Turn on live validation of form fields

If you’ve set validation rules for a property, these rules will be applied when visitors submit a form. With live validation, visitors receive immediate feedback on their input, making it easier to correct errors and complete forms accurately.

Understand live validation of form fields

When this setting is turned on, visitors will receive live feedback based on the validation rules set for the relevant property, and they must meet these requirements to submit the form. For example, if you've set a validation rule for the Order Number property to contain only numeric values, visitors will receive feedback to correct any non-numeric entries. 

Set live validation of form fields

By default, live validation on forms is turned on. To turn on/off live validation on form fields:

1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Marketing > Forms. 
3. Click the Submission Settings tab. 
4. Click to toggle the Enable live validation of form fields switch on/off. 
5. In the bottom left, click Save.
