Track Google Ads in HubSpot without the ads tool

If you have a HubSpot Legacy Marketing Hub Basic accounts, you can build tracking URLs to track Google Ads in HubSpot without the ads tool.

Please note: if you have a Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise account, learn how to connect your Google Ads account to HubSpot and analyze your ad campaigns.

To build a final URL for your Google ad:

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reports > Analytics Tools.
  • Click Tracking URL Builder.
  • In the upper right, click Create tracking URL.
  • In the right panel, enterthe following tracking URL parameters:
    • URL: enter the URL of your page.
    • UTM campaign: select an existing HubSpot campaign that corresponds to the Google ad campaign or create a new HubSpot campaign for your ad.
    • UTM source: select the source Paid search.
  • Click Create.

Use this URL as your final URL and HubSpot will bucket visits from the Google ad's destination URL under Paid search in your traffic analytics.
