Updating to the most recent version of the HubSpot Sales Outlook desktop add-in will sometimes cause this error:
The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load file or assembly... or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
HubSpot has worked with Microsoft to determine that this error is due to a known issue in Outlook. To resolve this error:
- Copy and paste %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0 into the Start menu in Windows and press Enter.
- Locate and delete the file VSTOInstaller.exe.Config.
- Download and install the HubSpot Sales Outlook desktop add-in again.
If you cannot find the file in the directory above, try this directory instead: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0
