Sometimes personalizing your content doesn’t just have to be about including a name to address your visitor, or changing a couple sentences of content. Using a smart form module will allow you to change an entire form depending on your website visitor.

Sound like something that makes sense for your site? Follow the instructions below to set this up on your HubSpot page or HubSpot template.

Once you’re in your HubSpot page, click the cube icon on the left-hand side of your page where you normally edit and insert your content. Then click the form module. Before making this form module smart, you should feel confident in your default form you have set there now for any visitor that you’re not targeting.

When you’re happy with the default form you have set, click Make smart.

Choose and create your type of smart content

In the dialog box, select what you'd like your smart content rules based on:

  • Country
  • Device type
  • Referral source
  • Preferred language
  • Contact list membership
  • Contact lifecycle stage

After clicking the radio button beside your choice, click Create.

Customize your smart rules

Create your smart rules in the left sidebar editor under the Options tab. Use the dropdown menu to jump between your default content and the content your smart rules will be based on (such as Mobile).

Click Add rule to add smart content rules. Click Reorder rules to change the order of your smart rules, and click Delete all rules to remove your smart rules and convert the rich text module back to a traditional (non-smart) module.
