Automatically populate contact properties with HubSpot AI (BETA)

Posted by HubSpot Support on Jan 31, 2020 2:32:53 PM

When a contact sends an email to you, HubSpot uses artificial intelligence (AI) to check for any contact information included in the email signature. It can also scan the email body for a phone number. If there's any data that is not stored in the contact record, HubSpot will populate the missing contact properties with information from the email. This feature is controlled by the Automatically fill contact properties found with HubSpot AI setting in your account's contacts settings.

Please note: your inbox must be connected to HubSpot in order for HubSpot AI to scan the email. This feature will not create new contacts or overwrite existing contact data.

You can disable HubSpot employees from accessing your account but this will also affect their ability to provide assistance to you. For example, if you disable HubSpot employee access to your account and another user in your account reaches out to HubSpot Support, the support specialists will not have access to your account and cannot investigate the issue.
