Add videos to CRM emails

Add videos to one-to-one emails sent from a contact, company, deal, or ticket record. Each video can be up to 1 hour in length.

Please note: CRM emails are not part of the Vidyard for HubSpot integration, which is a separate paid feature for Vidyard customers.

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to your contacts, companies, deals, or tickets.
  • Click the name of an object record.
  • Click the email Email tab.
  • To insert a video in the email, click the video icon insertVideo.

    • If this is your first time inserting a video, you'll be prompted to authorize the Vidyard GoVideo application and create a personal account. In the dialog box, click Sign Up and create your Vidyard account.
    • Once your account is ready, you’ll be prompted to install the Vidyard GoVideo Google Chrome extension in your browser. If the GoVideo extension is not showing in your browser toolbar, refer to Vidyard's documentation for support.
  • In the dialog box, click New Video and select from the following:

  1. Camera Recording: create a video using the camera and microphone connected to your computer.
    • In the bottom left and right, use the dropdown menus to select the camera and microphone used for your recording. Select Mic off to disable sound entirely.

    • To begin recording your video, click Start Recording. You can pause or restart the video at any time during the recording process.
    • When you're done recording your video, click Stop.
    • To add the video to your email, click Insert.
  2. Screen Recording: create a video of your computer screen, along with the camera and microphone connected to your computer:
    • In the bottom left and right, use the dropdown menus to select the camera and microphone used for your recording. In the camera dropdown menu, select a camera to include a video alongside your screen recording or select No Camera to record only your computer screen.

    • To begin recording your screen, click Start Recording.
    • Select a screen to share for your recording, then click Share.

    • At the bottom of the shared screen, a banner will appear to indicate the screen is being recorded (it will not appear in your recording). Click Hide to remove this banner from view, and click Stop sharing to immediately stop the recording.
    • In the bottom left of the screen, use the controls to pause, stop, or restart your recording.

    • After the screen recording is finished, click the stop icon.
    • To add the video to your email, click Insert.
  3. Upload Video: select this option to upload an existing video file from your device.
    • Select a file from your device and click Open.
    •  To add the video to your email, click Insert.
  • To insert an existing video into your sales email, select the checkbox on the left of the video, then click Insert.

  • To delete an existing video, click the name of the video recording and click the trash can icon delete.

Please note: if your video isn't saved after you finish recording it, you can recover it by following VidYard's support documentation.
