Add videos to CRM emails

Add videos to one-to-one emails sent from a contact, company, deal or ticket record. Each video can be up to 1 hour in length.

Please note: these video features are independent of the Vidyard for HubSpot integration, which is a separate paid feature for Vidyard customers.


If this is your first time inserting a video, you'll be prompted to authorize the Vidyard GoVideo application and create a personal account. After creating your account, click Verify. Vidyard will send you a verification email to confirm your account.


Once your account is ready, you’ll be prompted to download the Vidyard GoVideo Google Chrome extension in your browser. If the GoVideo extension is not showing on your browser, refer to Vidyard's documentation for support.

After installing the extension and signing into your account, you can create personalized video recordings within HubSpot.

  • Click New Video and select from the following:
  • Camera Recording - create a video using the camera and microphone connected to your computer:
    • Use the dropdown menus to select the camera and microphone used for your recording. Select Mic off to disable sound
    • Click Start Recording to begin capturing your video. You can pause or restart the video at any time during the recording process.
    • Click Stop once your video is complete.
    • Click Insert to add the video to your email.
  • Screen Recording - create a video of your computer screen, along with the camera and microphone connected to your computer:
    • Use the dropdown menus to select the camera and microphone to be used for your recording. In the camera dropdown menu, select a camera to include a video alongside your screen recording or select No Camera to record your computer screen only.
    • Click Start Recording to begin your screen recording. 
    • Select a screen to share for your recording, then click Share.share-your-screen
    • A banner will appear on the shared screen to confirm it's being recorded but will not appear in your recording. Click Hide to remove this banner from view, and click Stop sharing to immediately stop the recording. Use the buttons in the lower-right corner of the screen to pause, stop, or restart your recording.share-screen-control
    • After the screen recording is finished, click the stop icon.
    • Click Insert to add the video to your email.
  • Upload Video - select this option to upload an existing video file from your computer.
    • Select a file from your computer and click Open.
    • Click Insert to add this video to your email.

To insert an existing video into your sales email, select the checkbox to the left of the video, then click Insert.


To delete an existing video, click the name of the video recording and click the trash icon delete.

Please note: if your video isn't saved after you finish recording, you can recover it following VidYard's support documentation.
