How to add a Call-to-Action (CTA) to a non-HubSpot page

A call-to-action placed on your site can be used to drive prospective customers to convert to leads through forms. Place your CTA in a location where it's easily visible to your visitors and where it makes sense for someone to click on it. Once you have determined where you would like to put your CTA on your non-HubSpot page, follow the instructions below.

Instructions

Read the following steps to learn how to add a CTA to a non-HubSpot page.

1. Go to Content > Calls-to-Action

From the dashboard, navigate to Content > Calls-to-Action.

2. Get the external embed code of the CTA

On the CTA dashboard, click the gear icon next to the CTA you want to embed, then choose Embed.

Note: you can also embed Smart CTAs on your external website.

3. Copy the embed code

Copy the code that appears in the pop-up window. Once you have copied it, click the X button.

4. Navigate to your non-HubSpot page

Go to the non-HubSpot page where you would like to insert your CTA. In this example, a CTA is inserted into the HTML of an external webpage.

5. Insert the embed code on your non-HubSpot page

Now you can paste the external embed code of your CTA into the HTML of your non-HubSpot page. Paste the code into the HTML where you want the CTA to be located.

6. Review your CTA

Preview your CTA on the webpage to see what it looks like live. If the CTA does not display correctly, make sure that your external CMS has not altered the code that you copied. If you are using an image CTA, you may need to add additional styling to make sure the image CTA is responsive. Read more here

7. Publish your webpage

The final step is to publish your webpage with your CTA for all the world to see.
