Import new HubSpot users with a CSV file
Last updated: October 29, 2025
Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:
If you're a Super Admin or a user with Add and edit users permissions, you can bulk import users with a CSV file during the user creation process. This can be useful if you have many users who need the same permissions and seats.
Please note: on March 5, 2024, HubSpot introduced a seats-based pricing model to all new Hubs and subscription tiers. Accounts created prior to March 5, 2024 won't see this new import feature until they are migrated to the seats-based pricing model.
Prepare the import file
To import users in bulk, the spreadsheet must:
- Be a .csv file.
- Include a column for the users’ Email.
When setting up your import, you only need to have one column for email addresses. You'll assign permissions and seats later.
Import new users
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Users & Teams.
- In the upper right, click Create user.
- Click the Import CSV dropdown and select CSV.

- Click Choose a file to upload the CSV file. You can also drag and drop the file into the import tool.
- Verify the emails are correct. Then, in the bottom right, click Next.
- Continue to set up user access levels.
