Generate subject lines and preview text for marketing emails

With Breeze, you can generate preview text and subject lines for marketing emails based on the email's content. Preview text is a short summary of the email that appears next to the email's subject line in the recipient's inbox.

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential considerations of using it. 

Understand requirements

• To generate subject lines and preview text, the Give users access to generative AI tools and features setting must be turned on in AI settings. 

Understand limitations and considerations

• After you generate a pair of preview text suggestions, you can only generate new suggestions up to five more times for a single email.
• The generated preview text will be in the language you set for the marketing email. 

Understand AI-generated content best practices

• Proofread and edit your AI-generated content before publishing it.
• Edit AI-generated content to maintain your brand's voice and style.
• Balance the use of AI-generated content with content written by a human.
• While HubSpot has security measures in place, content assistant may occasionally generate incorrect, biased, offensive, or misleading information. Verify the accuracy of the output's content, especially any statistics or facts.
• The large language model that powers content assistant tends to produce inconsistent results in non-English languages. HubSpot is working on better supporting these languages in the coming months. For now, use extra care in checking non-English content for accuracy and clarity.

Generate preview text

1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Email.
2. Click the name of a drafted marketing email or click Create email in the top right. 
3. Finish drafting the content of the email. 
4. In the email editor, click the inbox module at the top of the page. 

4. In the left sidebar editor, enter a subject line in the Subject line field. This will be used along with the content of the email to generate the preview text. 
5. In the Preview text field, click Generate to generate two suggestions. 
6. In the pop-up box, click Insert next to a suggestion to add it as your preview text. 
7. To see more suggestions like an existing one, hover over the suggestion and click More like this. 

8. To generate new suggestions, click Generate new ideas. 

Generate subject lines
