Filter segments and manage segment views

Organize and manage your segments more effectively by using segment filters, saving filtered views to revisit later, and customizing which segment properties appear as columns in a view.

Filter segments and save views
Filter segments based on certain criteria to make them easier to sort. For example, create a view of segments that have grown by more than 100 members in the last seven days, or filter segments used in your marketing campaigns.
Create a segment view
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- Click + Add view.
- Click Create new view.
- In the pop-up window, enter a name for the view and select the audience that can access it.
- Click Confirm.

Add filters to a segment view
To add or change filters in the view, use the property dropdown menus at the top of the table, or set up advanced filters based on other segment properties.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- To view segments of a specific object, click the object in the left sidebar menu.
- To open a view, click the view tab.
- You can filter by the following default menus or use your custom quick filters.
- All teams: segments assigned to a specific team.
- All creators: the creator of the segment.
- All types: select between active or static segments.
- All objects: select which object segment you want to filter for.
- Used in: select which tools the segment is used in.
- To filter by other properties, click Advanced filters. In the right panel:
- Select the property you want to filter by.
- Set criteria for the selected property. Learn more about setting criteria.
- To add another property to the same group of filters, click + Add filter under and. When you set a filter with and logic, segments must meet all of the criteria in the filter group to be included in the view.
- To add a property to a new group of filters, click + Add filter group next to or. When you set a filter with or logic, segments must meet the criteria for at least one of the filter groups to be included in the view.
- To save the filters to the view, close the panel, then click the saveEditableView Save icon.
- To remove a filter, click the X next to a filter.
Reorder segment views
To reorder your own views on the segments index page:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- To reorder views, click and drag a tab to a new position.
- To set a default view, click and drag the view's tab to the left most position. This view will be the first tab to appear each time you navigate to your segments.
- To close a view, click the X on the view's tab. You can reopen the view from the Add view dropdown menu or the All Views page.
Super Admins can set a default view tab order for new users or users that haven't customized their own views.

In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- Click All views.
- Navigate to the Default views tab.
- Set up the default view tabs.
Clone, edit, or delete segment views
To edit, clone, or delete a segment view:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- To clone a view, click the duplicate Clone icon. In the dialog box, enter a name for the cloned view, then click Save. A new view will be created with the same filters.
- To change the columns in a view, in the top right of the table, click Actions > Edit columns. Edit the columns, then click Apply. Learn more about customizing view columns.
- To manage all saved segment views, click All views. On the All Views page, you can clone, edit, export, or delete your own custom segment views. Hover over a segment view, click More, then select an option:
- Rename: update the name of the view. In the dialog box, enter a name, then click Save.
- Delete: delete the view. In the dialog box, click Delete to confirm. The view will be deleted, but the segments included in the view will not be deleted.
- Manage sharing: update which users have access to the view. In the dialog box, select to make the view private, share it with your team, or share with all users in the account. Click Save to confirm.
- Clone: clone the view. In the dialog box, enter a name for the cloned view, then click Save. A new view will be created with the same filters.
- Export: export the segments in the view. In the dialog box, enter a name for the export, select the file type and the data to export, then click Export.
