When using the Smart Send feature to send a HubSpot email to your contacts, HubSpot will time the send the email based on each contact's specific time zone. HubSpot identifies a contact's time zone based on the contact's IP address, which is determined when the contact fills out a form, or by doing a reverse lookup on a contact's email address to determine when the contact previously opened or clicked on an email.
Please note the following about Smart Send:
- If HubSpot is not able to find an appropriate timezone for a contact, the email will be sent based on your HubSpot account's time zone.
- If you send your email and Smart Send shows that a contact's time zone has already passed for that day, the email will send to your contact at the specified time the next day.
