The HubSpot Sales extension for both Chrome and Outlook update automatically, although on occasion, there may be a reason to force an update. This article covers how to manually update both the Chrome and Outlook HubSpot Sales extensions.
Updating the HubSpot Sales Chrome extension
Chrome automatically checks for updates. Typically, you do not need to perform any actions to update the HubSpot Sales extension.
Although Chrome automatically updates extensions, it does not happen in real-time. You may occasionally want to force an update to the most recently published version. To do so, follow the steps below:
In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu (either three horizontal lines or three stacked dots, depending on your version of Chrome.)
Select More tools > Extensions.
Click the checkbox next to Developer Mode to enable this function.
Click Update extensions now.
NOTE: Selecting the Update extensions now button does not result in any visual feedback. This is the correct, expected behavior. You can simply refresh the page to see the version number change.
Updating HubSpot Sales for Outlook:
HubSpot Sales will automatically prompt you to update, whenever a newer version becomes available. This occurs whenever Outlook is restarted.
It is also possible to check for updates by selecting the About button within HubSpot Sales' portion of the Outlook ribbon:
