After understanding how to accept payments from buyers, use this article to decide which tools to use to collect payments, based on your existing revenue processes.
Choose a payment collection tool
Please note: if you’re enrolled in the Connected CPQ, Billing, and Payments beta, a contract record is automatically created when a quote is accepted by the buyer and the contract is used to manage ongoing billing, invoice creation, and payment collection. With the beta, a subscription record is created, but does not power the billing. Learn more about the Connected CPQ, Billing, and Payments beta.
With a payment processing option, taxes, and fees set up, you can collect payments using contracts, invoices, payment links, quotes, legacy quotes, and subscriptions. The best tool to use depends on your account configuration and subscription, and your existing revenue processes.
Tools can be used standalone to collect payments, or be used as part of a broader revenue process. Learn more about the different revenue processes in HubSpot.

Accept payments using invoices
Use invoices when you want to create one-time invoices to request payment. Configure them to be payable through the same checkout process as other revenue tools, or manually mark them as paid when collecting payments outside of HubSpot.
Recurring invoices can be created from contracts, payment links, quotes, and subscriptions, depending on your subscriptions and account configuration. Learn more about the different ways to bill buyers using HubSpot.
Accept payments using payment links
Use payment links to collect one-time or recurring payments from buyers via an online checkout. Share the link directly with buyers or embed payment links on your website, in forms, in one-to-one emails, and on meeting scheduling pages.

Accept payments using quotes
HubSpot provides two quoting experiences: legacy quotes and quotes. Before deciding which to use for your use case, learn more about the features and understand key differences.
Quotes
Subscription required A Revenue Hub subscription is required to use quotes. If you do not have a Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise account, learn more about legacy quotes.
Use quotes to configure one-time and recurring services and products for buyers. Send them for acceptance before delivering the products and services. Quotes are part of HubSpot CPQ.

Legacy quotes
Use HubSpot’s legacy quotes tool to create branded quotes in HubSpot to collect one-time and recurring payments from buyers. Legacy quotes aren't part of HubSpot CPQ.

Accept payments using subscriptions
Use subscriptions to automate recurring payments or send recurring invoices to your buyers. Add line items, taxes, discounts, and fees, and automatically collect payments, or send recurring invoices.
