Connect your Anthropic account to HubSpot (BETA)

Connect Anthropic and HubSpot, and start using the AI-powered action Ask Anthropic in your workflows. You can connect the app from the App Marketplace or from within a workflow.
After installing the Anthropic app, add the Ask Anthropic action to your workflows. Use the outputs of this action with other workflow actions, such as sending email notifications and updating CRM records.
Access your Anthropic API key
Before you can connect your Anthropic account to HubSpot, you'll need to retrieve your Anthropic API key first:
- Navigate to https://console.anthropic.com to sign up or log into your Anthropic account.
- Access your Anthropic API key.
Please note: you must keep the API key secure, as it provides access to your Anthropic account. For more information on using your Anthropic account, please review Anthropic's Terms of Service.
Connect your Anthropic account to HubSpot
Once you have retrieved your Anthropic API key, you can connect your Anthropic account with HubSpot.
- In your HubSpot account, click the Marketplace icon marketplace in the top navigation bar, then select App Marketplace.
- Search for and select the Anthropic app.
- In the top right, click Install app. Then, follow the steps to connect your Anthropic account.
- In the dialog box, enter your API key.
- Click Install app.
Disconnect your connected Anthropic account
To disconnect your Anthropic account:
- In your HubSpot account, click the Marketplace icon marketplace in the top navigation bar, then select App Marketplace.
- Hover over the Anthropic app and click Actions.
- Click Go to Settings.
- To disconnect the Anthropic integration, click Actions in the top right and select Uninstall.
Use the Ask Anthropic workflow action
You can use this AI-powered workflow action to send prompts to Anthropic and analyze, summarize, and categorize data from enrolled records.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
- Click the name of your existing workflow or create a new workflow.
- Set your enrollment triggers.
- Click the + plus icon to add an action.
- In the left panel, click to expand the Anthropic integrated app section. Then, click Ask Anthropic.
- In the User message field, enter your prompt. You can also add properties from the data panel.
- Click to expand the Advanced settings section to configure the following:
- Model selection: choose the Anthropic model used for the API call.
- Temperature: the randomness of the generated text. Lower values will result in more predictable responses, while higher values will result in more creative responses.
- At the top, click Save.
Use outputs with other workflow actions
Once the Ask Anthropic action is added to your workflow, you can use the resulting output in other actions within the workflow where the data panel is used.

In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
- Click the name of your existing workflow or create a new workflow.
- Add and set up your Ask Anthropic action.

Click the + plus icon to add an action. Then, select a workflow action.
- In the Choose data variable panel, click the View properties or action outputs from dropdown menu and select Action outputs.
- Click to expand the Ask Anthropic section, then select Response.
- Continue setting up your workflow action.
