Create and manage saved views in the updated index page

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

In the updated index page, you can view and filter records using saved reusable views. Use default HubSpot views create custom ones with filters and visibility settings for your view only or account-wide.

Please note: this article applies to Free and Starter accounts created after March 30, 2026. If you have a Professional or Enterprise subscription, refer to the create and manage saved views article.

You can verify if this article applies to your account by comparing your view tab display to the image below. In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.

Create a saved view in the updated index page

  1. Navigate to your records (e.g., In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.).
  2. Click the + add view icon, then click Create new view.
  3. Select a view type (e.g., BoardTable).
  4. Enter a name for your view, then click the successIcon confirm icon.
  5. To manage the visibility of the view:
    • Click the name of the view you just created.
    • Click Manage sharing, then select a visibility setting:
      • Private: only you can access the view.
      • Everyone: any user in your account can access the view.
      • Custom: select the users who can access the view.
    • Click Save.
  6. Set advanced filters or quick filters for the view. 
  7. In the bottom right, click Save when you're finished. Your created view becomes your profile's default view for the selected object.

Edit a saved view

After you've created a view, edit its settings (e.g., name, filters, columns, and sort order). Only Super Admins or the user who originally created the view can save changes. However, Super Admins can only edit filters, columns, and sort order. 

  1. Navigate to your records (e.g., In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.).
  2. Click the name of a view tab.
  3. To edit a view's filters:
    • Click the name of the view tab you want to edit. If it doesn't appear as a tab, click the + add view icon, then select Add view.
    • Click a property dropdown menu or Advanced filters, then edit the filters.
    • In the bottom right, click Save.
  4. To edit other view settings:
    • Click the name of the view tab that you've already selected, then select Edit view settings.
    • In the right panel, configure the following:
      • Name: change the name of the view.
      • View specific settings: configure display settings for the view type selected (e.g., zebra striping for table view, grouping for board view).
      • Displayed data: configure filters and edit displayed columns.
      • Sort order: select the property (e.g., Create date) by which the view is sorted and the sort direction (e.g., A -> Z).
      • Sharing options: copy a link to share the view with other users in your account, export the data of the view, or restrict access to it.
      • Save options: save your changes, reset to last save, or clone to a new view.
      • Delete: delete the view.

Open, reorder, or close views

To decide which views are open as tabs and the order of the tabs:

  1. To the right of your tabs, click the + add view icon, then select Add view to open an existing saved view. Once opened, tabs automatically remain pinned on the index page unless you close them.
  2. Click and drag a tab to a new position to reorder your views. If you drag a tab to the left most position, it will become the default view.
  3. Hover on a view tab, then click the X to hide a view. You can reopen the view from the Add view pop-up box.

Clone a view

To create a new view with the same filters and settings as an existing view:

  1. Navigate to your records (e.g., In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.).
  2. If the view you want to clone is open:
    1. In the bottom right, click Clone.
    2. Enter a new name for the view, then click the successIcon confirm icon.
  3. If the view you want to clone is hidden:
    1. Click the + add view icon, then select Add view to open an existing saved view.
    2. In the bottom right, click Clone.
    3. Enter a new name for the view, then click the successIcon confirm icon.
