Save dataset fields as CRM properties (BETA)

Datasets users can utilize excel-like functions to gain powerful cohorts and metrics. With property sync, users can utilize the same cohorts and metrics throughout HubSpot, not just reporting. This means the same data users view in reports, can be enrolled in a workflows, lists or dashboard views using datasets.

Please note: during the private beta, users will be limited to single object tables.


Create a dataset

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Data Management > Datasets.oa
  • Create a single source dataset.
  • Click + Create field. This field will be the new property.

  • Navigate to the Filters tab and apply filters as necessary.
  • In the top right, click Review.
  • After reviewing your data, save the dataset by clicking Save.
  • In the right panel, enter a name and description for the dataset.
  • Click Save.

Create a property

  • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Data Management > Datasets.oa
  • Click the name of your dataset.
  • Under HubSpot property, click Create label and sync.
  • In the right panel, enter a Property label and a description.
  • Click Save and map.
