What is Nametag?
Nametag is HubSpot’s identity verification partner. They allow you to quickly verify your identity to help you regain access to your HubSpot account while also protecting your account from fraud.
How does HubSpot use Nametag?
HubSpot uses Nametag to confirm that your name in HubSpot matches the name on your identification. When you sign up with Nametag to verify your identity, HubSpot only checks the name and photo on your ID. No other information from your identification is shared.
Is Nametag secure and do they protect my data?
Nametag won’t share any of your information with HubSpot without your consent. They use industry-standard security best practices to ensure their service is secure. Do I have to use Nametag to regain access to my account?
No. Nametag is a quick and easy way for HubSpot to get you into your account again, but you can always contact HubSpot Support instead. The HubSpot Support process will take longer, as information will need to be verified manually.
