How do I calculate the ROI of paid campaigns in the ads tool?

To configure your ROI calculation in HubSpot’s ads tool:

  • In your HubSpot Marketing BasicProfessional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Content Ads.

  • In the upper right, click Settings.
  • Click the ROI Calculation tab.
  • Select the radio button next to the method you'd like to use to calculate ROI:
    • Use revenue from your CRM: this setting calculates ROI based on your deals in HubSpot. With this setting enabled, deals marked as closed won will be included on your ads dashboard if they are associated with contacts in the lifecycle stage of customer who were attributed to your ad campaign. This option is recommended if you are using deals in HubSpot.

    • Estimate ROI: with this option enabled, HubSpot estimates the ROI based on your average sale price and average lead to customer rate. In the Average Sale Price section, select the currency in which you'd like ROI to appear, then enter the numerical value of your average sale price. Enter your average Lead to Customer Rate as a percentage.

  • Click Save at the bottom-left to take your changes live.
