Calculating the ROI of paid campaigns in HubSpot's Ads tool

To configure your ROI calculation in HubSpot’s Ads tool:

  • Navigate to Reports > Ads.
  • At the top, click on the Settings tab.
  • Click ROI Calcluation from the left-hand side menu.
  • From here, you can choose to use the ROI Calculator or Use Deals for ROI (if using HubSpot CRM.)

Option 1: ROI Calculator

  • Select the currency you wish ROI to reflect.
  • Enter the monetary amount of your average customer sale.
  • Enter your average Lead-to-Customer conversion percentage.

Option 2: Use Deals for ROI

  • Simply check the radio button next to this option to allow this setting to pull in ROI from your CRM Deals. With this enabled, CRM deals that are associated with contacts who are attributed to your ad campaign and are marked as closed won will be pulled into your Ads dashboard.
  • Click Update when you're done setting how you want to calculate ROI in Ads.
