How to configure your blog's date formatting options

The date formats depend on your preferred style, language, and your blog's audience. You can choose to publish dates in a short, long, or medium format or you can design a custom format.

1. Navigate to Content Settings

Navigate to Content > Content Settings.

2. Go to blog settings

In the left sidebar, select MarketingBlog, then select the Date Formats tab.

3. Choose the blog whose settings you want to update

Choose the blog whose settings you want to modify. If you only have one blog, you'll only see one option in the drop-down menu.

Modify the blog date formatting options

Customize your blog's time stamp settings to the format you like best. Keep in mind the geographic region of your target audience -- it's possible that your readers will prefer or be familiar with a different format than you are.

Choose the language for dates

Use the dropdown menu or the search bar to choose the language for your blog date format. 

Publish Date Format

Use the dropdown menu to choose the format for your blog post publishing dates. These formats will correspond to the Language for dates selected above. 

If you're comfortable working with code, you can also choose to use a custom date format that you create using Locale Data Markup Language. You can find more information on using LDML by clicking on the What's this? link on the settings page.

Posts by Month Format

Use the dropdown menu to choose the Posts by month format for your blog. These formats will correspond to the Language for dates selected above.
