What are HubSpot Insights on Company records in the HubSpot CRM?

HubSpot maintains an enormous database of company information, which is gathered from various sources on the web using a web scraper. 

If you add a company to HubSpot CRM that has a company domain name, HubSpot will search its unique database for additional information about that company and add the data to the company record in seconds. 

Even better, if you have the "Automatically create and associate companies with contacts"  under Settings > Companies turned on, when you add a contact with an email address that has a company domain name, HubSpot will match it and add that data to the contact profile in seconds. The company will also be added to your "Companies" list if it doesn't already exist. You can learn more about this setting here.

 

Which properties will HubSpot populate on the Company Record?

If the web scraper has retrieved it, HubSpot will push information to these properties (this is by no means an exhaustive list):

  • Name
  • Industry
  • Description
  • Number of employees
  • Phone number
  • Street Address
  • City
  • State/Region
  • Country
  • Postal code
  • Annual Revenue
  • Is Public
  • Timezone
  • Website URL
  • Twitter Handle
