Repurpose content using AI with content remix

With content remix, you can use Breeze, HubSpot's AI, to repurpose existing text, pages, images, or audio & video files into additional content formats.

You can then share key pieces of content more quickly across multiple platforms, engaging more visitors. For example, you can remix a blog post into a podcast episode for customers who prefer to listen to content.

Please note: Please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your enabled data inputs for AI features, including your prompts. Admins can configure generative AI features in account management settings. Before you get started

Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential consequences of using it. 

Understand requirements

  • To use content remix, you'll need to toggle the Give users access to generative AI tools and features and Files data switches on in AI settings

Understand limitations & considerations

  • Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise account is required to generate social posts. The Marketing SMS or SMS Shortcode add-on is required to generate SMS messages.

Create a content remix

You can create content remixes to generate new content.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing in the top right or select your starting content.

  1. In the content remix editor, click the edit Edit icon and enter a name for your remix at the top of the page.
  2. In the center box, click Add content
  3. In the left panel, select the content type of your starting content

  1. To add more starting content types:
    • In the center box, click the Expand group icon in the top right corner.

    • In the Add more source material box, click Add content. You can include up to six pieces of starting content. 
  1. When you have finished adding your starting content, click Add content.
  2. In the content remix, click the Add button below your starting content to generate new content.

  1. In the left panel, select the checkbox next to each content type you want to generate.
  2. To generate additional pieces of the same content type, use the up increase and down decrease icons in the counter to set how many pieces of that content type will be generated. 
  3. Once no more than six pieces of content across all content types have been selected, click Next

  1. Customize the fields for the content types you've selected, then click Generate
  2. Once a type of content has been generated, click its preview text, then view the full generated content in the right panel. 
  3. Click Save and edit in app to add the generated content to the related tool, then continue editing it there. 
  1. To generate additional content based on the new content, click the + Add button beneath a piece of generated content, then repeat the process.

Use different types of starting content

When you create a content remix, you can use different types of starting content. You can use blogs, pages, and text. You can also remix your content using video, audio, and images.

Use blogs, pages, and text in a content remix

You can use your existing blogs, pages, and text in your content remix. You can also start from new text, upload a new document file, or start from a URL.
  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. In the center box, click Add content
  4. In the left panel, select Blogs, Pages, and Text
    • To use a post, page, or case study hosted on HubSpot, click the Content Type dropdown menu
      1. Select the content type.
      2. Click the Add content dropdown menu and select the content
    • To use a new block of text, select Start from new text, then enter the text
    • To use a document file, select Upload new document file. Click Upload a file to upload a file from your computer or Browse file manager to select a file from the files tool.
    • To use a Google Drive file (BETA), select Start from a Google Drive file.
      • Click the Select Google Account dropdown menu and select a connected account.
      • Click Open document picker.
      • In the dialog box, select a document to remix and then click Select in the bottom left.
    • To use a live page that's externally hosted, select Start from a URL, then enter the URL
  1. When you have finished adding your blog, pages, text or files content, click Add content.
  2. Continue to generate new content

Use video in a content remix

You can use video in your content remix by uploading a video file or selecting an existing file in the files tool.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. In the center box, click Add content
  4. In the left panel, select Video
    • To upload a file from your computer, click Upload a file
    • To select a file from the files tool, click Browse file manager.
  5. When you have finished adding your video content, click Add content.
  6. Continue to generate new content

Please note: only .mov, .avi, .flv, .wmv, .rm, .3gp, .3g2, .asf, .asx, .mpg, .mp4, .mpeg, .swf, .m4v, and .webm files are supported.

Use audio in a content remix

You can use podcasts and audio in your content remix by choosing from existing content or uploading a new audio file.
  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. In the center box, click Add content
  4. In the left panel, select Podcasts & Audio
  5. Select Select from existing content or Upload new audio file.
    • To use an existing audio file, click the Add content dropdown menu and select an existing podcast episode
    • To use a new audio file from your computer, click Upload a file. To use a file from the files tool, click Browse file manager.
  6. When you have finished adding your audio content, click Add content.
  7. Continue to generate new content

Please note: only .aac, .aif, .m4a, .mp3, .mpa, .ra, .wav, and .wma files are supported. Additionally, converting large .wav files to .mp3 format is recommended before uploading.

Use images in a content remix

You can use images in your content remix by choosing from existing content in the files tool or uploading a new image.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. In the left panel, select Image.
    • To upload a file from your computer, click Upload a file
    • To select a file from the files tool, click Browse file manager
  4. When you have finished adding your image content, click Add content.
  5. Continue to generate new content

Please note: only .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tif, .tiff, .ico, .bmp, .webp, and .svg files are supported.


Use inline editing in a content remix

Content remix may produce a piece of content that closely aligns with your desired outcome, yet needs minor adjustments. Instead of having to edit the content in the content editor or regenerate the entire piece of content, you can make direct inline edits to the copy within the content remix.

Please note: this feature is only compatible with blog posts, ads, social posts, freeform, and SMS.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. In the content remix, select the editIcon edit icon on the generated piece of content. 
  4. Enter the desired text for the copy.
  5. Once the content has inline edits to the copy and has been saved, click its preview text.
  6. In the right panel, click Save and edit in app or View in editor to continue to publish the content. 

Save a content remix as a template

You can save your content remix as a template. With content remix templates, you can create reusable patterns for repurposing and distributing your content.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing or select your starting content. To edit an existing remix, click the Manage tab and select the content remix name.
  3. Once you have customized your content remix, click Save as template in the top right. 
  4. In the dialog box, enter a name and description for your template, then click Save
  5. You can access saved templates from the Saved Templates tab of the content remix homepage.

Use bulk actions in a content remix

You can save, regenerate, or delete many pieces of content in a content remix at once.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, click Start remixing to create a new content remix or the Manage tab to edit an existing content remix.
  3. In the content remix, select the checkbox next to each piece of content to include in the bulk action. You can also click Select all to include all generated content.
  4. In the top right, click the Bulk actions dropdown menu. Then select one of the following:
    • Delete: included pieces of content will be bulk deleted.
    • Regenerate: included pieces of content will be regenerated.
    • Save: included pieces of content will be saved for editing in their respective editing tool.

  1. Once a type of content has been regenerated or saved, click its preview text.
  2. In the right panel, click Save and edit in app or View in editor to continue editing the content. 

Delete content remixes

You can delete individual content remixes or in bulk.

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Content > Remix.
  2. On the Content Remix homepage, Click the Manage tab.
  3. To delete individual content remixes, hover over the content remix, then click Delete.
  4. To bulk delete content remixes, select the checkbox next to each content remix you want to delete, then click Delete.

Understand content attributes

You can set specific attributes for each type of content you generate. 

  • For ad posts, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Ad account: the connected ad account where the ad will be created.
    • Objective: additional context for generating the ad. 
    • Include generated image in ad: whether an image for the ad will also be generated.
  • For audio files, you can set the voice used. 
  • For blog posts, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Blog: the HubSpot blog where you will host the new post. 
    • Objective: additional context for generating the blog post. 
    • Length: the word count of the blog post - short, medium, or long
    • Include generated image in blog post: whether a featured image for the blog post will also be generated.
  • For images, you can set the following attributes:
    • Style: artistic style of the generated image.
    • Image Dimensions: orientation of the generated image - square, landscape, or portrait
  • For landing pages, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Template: the template used for the page.
    • Objective: additional context for generating the landing page. 
    • Include generated image in landing page: whether an image for the page will also be generated.
    • Image Style: if you're generating an image, the artistic style of the generated image. 
  • For marketing emails, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Template: the template used for the email.
    • Brand: if you have the brands add-on, which brand will be associated with the email. 
    • Objective: additional context for generating the email.
  • For podcasts, you can set the following attributes:
    • Podcast show: the podcast show for the episode. 
    • Episode topic or idea: the key topics, goals, and main points of what the episode will cover.
    • Country of target audience: the country that the podcast's target audience members should belong to. Specify the country for better SEO targeting.
    • Include generated image in podcast: whether an image should be generated and included for the podcast's episode artwork. 
  • For social posts, you can set the following attributes:
    • Networks: the social network where the post will appear. 
    • Objective: additional context for generating the post.
    • Include generated image in social post: whether an image for the post will also be generated.
  • For SMS messages, you can set the language.
  • For video clips, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Custom Instructions: freeform input to guide the AI in creating clips. 
    • Aspect ratio: the aspect ratio of the clips. You can select 16:9, 4:3, or 9:16. 
    • Number of clipsthe number of clips from you want to generate. You can create up to 10 clips at a time. 
  • For website pages, you can set the following attributes: 
    • Template: the template used for the page.
    • Objective: additional context for generating the page. 
    • Include generated image in landing page: whether an image for the page will also be generated.
    • Image Style: if you're generating an image, the artistic style of the generated image.
