Use buying signals in the sales workspace

Find the companies that are ready for a conversation with a sales rep by reviewing buying signals. Buying signals use data from the company's buyer and research intent, recent news, sales engagements, and marketing engagements to help you understand whether a company is a good fit for sales outreach. If you're a Super Admin, learn how to opt your account into the beta.
Understand buying signals
Buying signals are actions and data points that indicate a company’s readiness to engage in a conversation with a salesperson. These signals are aggregated on a company record so that users can quickly understand whether a company should be prioritized for further prospecting. The information can also be used to help guide a salesperson’s messaging to their contacts at that company.
The following buying signals are available to review on company records in the sales workspace:
- Visitor Intent: Are people from that company visiting your website?
- Research Intent: Are people from that company researching topics you are following?
- News: Are there recent news events for that company, like announcements of funding, layoffs, expansion, or technology investments?
- Job Changes: Did one of your contacts change roles or leave that company?
- Email Bounce: Did one of your contacts have a bounced email, indicating they are no longer at that company?
- Marketing Email Click: Did a contact at that company click on an email from marketing?
- Form Submission: Did a contact at that company submit a form?
View buying signals
To review buying signals in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace. Then click the Prospects tab.
- On the left, click Companies.
- Click the name of a company to open the company preview pane.
- On the Summary tab, review buying signals under the Top signals section.
Users with Customize record page layout or Super Admin permissions can add the Top Signals card to company records in the CRM by customizing the record layout.
