Before you begin using HubSpot's social tools, you will need to connect your social media accounts to HubSpot. Bear in mind that each social network allows different types of interactions between their platform and HubSpot.
Follow these steps to integrate your social media accounts with your HubSpot account.
1. Navigate to Social Media Settings
Go to Social > Social Settings.
2. Add accounts
You can connect the following social media accounts to HubSpot:
If you have already connected your accounts, you can skip ahead to read about configuring options for each account.
Before clicking the Connect an account button, first make sure you're logged into the social accounts you're about to integrate with your HubSpot.
We must connect with your personal Facebook profile in order to detect which business pages you're an administrator of. Once you connect with your personal profile, you will be able to enable social media integration options with your connected business pages. We will not enable any integrations with your personal profile without you specifically opting in.
How to add a Twitter account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Twitter.
Click the Authorize on Twitter button. HubSpot does not store your password, but if you change your Twitter password, you will need to re-add your Twitter account to HubSpot.
Click the Authorize App button.
You'll then see a confirmation message for the Twitter account you just added.
How to add a Facebook account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Facebook. You can alternatively, click the Facebook icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Click the Authorize on Facebook button. If you are not already logged in to Facebook, you must login with your personal Facebook credentials. If you are an admin on a Facebook business page, that page will be connected to HubSpot as well.
Facebook requires you to log in with a personal Facebook account, in order to detect which business pages you're an administrator of. Once you connect with your personal profile, you will be able to enable social media integration options with your connected business pages. We will not enable any integrations with your personal profile without you specifically opting in.
You'll then see a confirmation message that you successfully added a Facebook account.
How to Add a LinkedIn account
Click the Connect an account button and choose LinkedIn. You can alternatively, click the LinkedIn icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Click on the Authorize on Linkedin button.
Click on the Allow access button.
You will then see a confirmation message that the Linkedin account was added.
How to add a Google+ account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Google+. You can alternatively, click the Google+ icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Click Authorize on Google+.
If you have multiple Google accounts, you will need to select which account to authorize.
You'll then see your Google+ profile picture and any associated Google+ pages display on your Social Settings screen..
How to add a Xing account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Xing. You can alternatively, click the Xing icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Click the Authorize on Xing button.
Enter your Xing credentials and click the Log In button.
Click the Allow button.
You will see a confirmation message at the top of the Social Settings page and your Xing account listed.
How to add a YouTube account
Click the Connect an account button and choose YouTube. You can alternatively, click the YouTube icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Enter your YouTube page's URL into the input and then click the Add button.
You will see your YouTube account saved in the YouTube section of Social Settings.
How to add a Blog account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Blog/RSS. You can alternatively, click the Blog/RSS icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Enter your blog's RSS feed. If your blog is hosted on the COS, you can get your RSS feed by adding /rss.xml to your blog's url. Once you've selected your option, click the Submit button.
You will see that the RSS feed URL for the blog is displayed in the Blog account section of Social Settings.
How to add a Pinterest account
Click the Connect an account button and choose Pinterest. You can alternatively, click the Pinterest icon at the top of your Social Settings.
Enter your Pinterest profile's URL into the input and then click the Submit button.
You will see your Pinterest profile saved in the Pinterest account section of Social Settings.
3. Configure the options for your connected accounts
Once your account is connected, you'll have the option to establish the types of connections you want between HubSpot and your pages. To enable these actions, simply check off or switch on the action next to each listed profile.
The options available for a Social Media account will vary based upon what that platform's API allows for. If an option is not listed for a social media site, than it is not available at this time. For example, at this time, you can only publish to Google+ pages, not Google+ personal profiles.
Click on the On/Off switch to use the social media Monitoring tool to keep track of your prospects, leads, and customers on Twitter.
Monitoring is currently only available for Twitter accounts. You will learn more about Monitoring, in a later section of this guide.
You can insert a Follow Me module into HubSpot pages and embed it on non-HubSpot pages. It includes icons for your different social network pages so that those who view your pages can click on them and be linked right to them.
To display an icon for a connected account in the Follow Me module, check the Follow Me option next to an account.

If you add the Follow Me module or embed code to a page, but you have not selected any social media accounts to display in Follow Me, the module will simply be invisible to your visitors.
You can track the growth of your audience over time by enabling the Reach option.
Just check the Reach option next to any account to start tracking it.
You can configure your connected social media accounts to automatically post a link to a blog article when it is published. If your blog is hosted on HubSpot's COS, go to Content > Content Settings > Blog. Choose the blog that you would like to modify, and then under the General Blog Options, check the box next to Enable social media auto-publishing.
Then go to Social > Social Settings and check the Auto-publish option next to the social media accounts for which you want to enable auto-posting.
If you're waiting for your website to be migrated, wait until the migration is complete to turn this option on. Otherwise you might accidentally post test blog posts by HubSpot's migration team!
Allow posting to personal accounts
By default, HubSpot's Publishing tool will only list your connected social media business accounts. Certain social media platforms allow you to post directly to personal accounts as well. To enable this option, click Allow posting to personal account. This option will only show under accounts where this feature is available.
