For guidance about which contacts to target in segments, review clusters on the segments Explore page. Clusters are AI-created groups of contacts that fit into the same engagement category and have common key attributes. These can help you focus on what's working well and identify new areas of opportunity.
You can use these engagement tiers and clusters to create new segments. For example, create a segment from a cluster of highly engaged long-term customers to tailor specific communication to those contacts.
To view and use segment clusters:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Segments.
- Navigate to the Explore tab.
- On the Summary card, review the number of contacts that were analyzed and the number contact engagement tiers and clusters that were identified by AI.
- In the Engagement tiers section, review identified engagement tiers and key attributes for each tier of contacts. The tiers (High, Medium, and Low) are based on marketing email delivery and open rates. To create a new segment from an engagement tier, click Create segment.
- In the Clusters section, review identified clusters and key attributes for the grouped contacts. To create a new segment from a cluster, click Create segment.
- You'll be brought to the new static segment, where you can edit the segment's details.
Once you've created a new segment, learn more about how to analyze and activate it in other tools.
