Connect your ads accounts to HubSpot

Last updated: September 20, 2018

If you have the ads publishing permission in your HubSpot account, you can connect Facebook Ads and Google AdWords (Ads add-on only) accounts to HubSpot.

Facebook Ads

You can connect your Facebook Ads account to HubSpot from HubSpot or from Facebook.

If you have the HubSpot Ads add-on, you can connect multiple Facebook Ads accounts to HubSpot to track performance for all of your ads accounts, view ad performance across two connected ad accounts simultaneously, and create audiences for multiple accounts.

Facebook setup requirements

You can integrate your Facebook lead ads with HubSpot in two ways:

Facebook Ads account and Facebook page(s)

You can integrate your lead ads with HubSpot using a Facebook Ads account and Facebook page(s), neither of which are associated with a Facebook Business Manager account.

  • The HubSpot user who connects a Facebook Ads account to HubSpot must be an admin of the Facebook Ads account. The user must also be an admin of any Facebook pages that ads are posted to from this ads account.
  • For users to create a Facebook lead ad in HubSpot, they must also be a Facebook user who has admin access to the Facebook company page and the advertiser permission level or above for the Facebook Ads account connected to HubSpot.

Facebook Business Manager

You can integrate your Facebook lead ads with HubSpot using Facebook's Business Manager.

  • The HubSpot user who connects a Facebook Ads account must be an admin of the ads account in Business Manager. This user must also be an admin of any Facebook page(s) that ads are posted to from Business Manager.
  • There must be a Business Manager relationship between the connected Facebook Ads account(s) and any Facebook page(s) you're creating ads for. These assets must exist in the same Business Manager or there must be a partner relationship between the Business Managers that each asset exists in. If users need to share assets between Business Managers in order to create the partner relationship, users must have admin access for pages and advertiser or above access for ads accounts in both Business Managers.
  • For users to create a Facebook lead ad in HubSpot, they must also be a Facebook user who has admin access to the Facebook page and the advertiser permission level or above for the Facebook Ads account connected to HubSpot.
  • The user connecting the Business Manager with HubSpot must have Leads Access. By default, all page admins and connected CRMs have Leads Access.

From HubSpot

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to MarketingAds.
  • In the Accounts tab, click Connect account.
  • In the dialog box, select Facebook. Enter your Facebook Ads credentials and click Log In.
  • If you are a user in multiple Facebook Ads accounts and have the HubSpot Ads add-on, you'll see a dialog box with a list of your accounts. Select the checkbox for accounts you want to connect to HubSpot, then click Connect accounts

Once connected, your Facebook Ads account(s) will appear in your ads settings. Other users in your HubSpot account with access to your ads settings can also connect their Facebook Ads accounts to HubSpot by following the steps above.

Please note: when you connect your ads account in your ads settings, your existing lead ad campaigns in Facebook will sync to HubSpot automatically and will appear on your ads dashboard. Any leads that have been created from these ads in the last 90 days will be created as contacts in your HubSpot portal. These existing leads will not be reflected in New Contacts on your Ads dashboard; only new leads from these connected campaigns moving forward will appear here.

By default, syncing for all Facebook pages will be turned off when you connect your account. Learn how to manage syncing for a particular Facebook page.

From Facebook

  • Navigate to your Facebook page.
  • Click the Publishing Tools tab.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Leads Setup.

  • Click the Search CRM providers search bar and search for HubSpot, then click Connect.
  • Enter your HubSpot credentials and click Log in.
  • Click the Search dropdown menu and select the Facebook Ads account to connect, then click Connect account.

  • HubSpot will now appear as a connected CRM in the Leads Setup section.

Please note: Facebook stores leads from lead ads for 90 days after creation. When you connect your Facebook Ads account to HubSpot, these leads will be synced to HubSpot, along with leads generated going forward. Learn how to control which Facebook pages sync leads to HubSpot.

Google AdWords (Ads add-on only)

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings icon settings in the main navigation bar.
  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to MarketingAds.
  • In the Accounts tab, click Connect account.
  • In the dialog box, select Google Ads. Log in to your Google account using the email address connected to your AdWords account.
  • Click Allow to authorize the HubSpot AdWords integration to manage your AdWords campaigns.

  • You'll be redirected back to HubSpot, where you'll see your connected AdWords ads account.

Please note: it is only possible to connect one individual Google AdWords account to your HubSpot account. It is not possible to track multiple accounts even if they are within the same manager account.

LinkedIn

As of July 31, 2017, the LinkedIn Ads integration has been removed from HubSpotAny LinkedIn campaigns originally created in HubSpot will continue to run in the native LinkedIn Ads manager.
