Create and assign marketing tasks in the campaigns tool

Create tasks to help you and your team keep your marketing campaigns organized.
Create tasks
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Campaigns.
- Click the Tasks tab.
- In the upper right, click Create task.
- Enter a title for the task.
- Select a content type for the task.
- Select the campaign to associate the task with (Optional).
- Select an assignee for the task (Optional). If the assignee has Task assigned to you notifications enabled, they'll be notified of the task assignment when it is created.
- Set a due date and due time for the task.
- Enter any notes for the task (Optional).
- Click Save.
The task will appear on the calendar at the selected date and time.
Manage your marketing tasks
You can review, edit, and complete marketing tasks on the Tasks tab or edit them directly on your marketing calendar:
- To manage tasks on your campaigns dashboard:
- Click the Tasks tab.
- You can filter tasks using pre-made views on the Due today, Overdue, and All completed tabs. To customize task filters, click Filter and select the task type, due date, or priority of the tasks you want to view.
- To edit the columns in the table, click Edit Columns, then customize the dashboard's columns In the dialog box:
- In the left panel, select the columns you want to view.
- In the right panel, click remove to remove any columns you don't want to view.

- To edit a task, hover over the task and click Edit. In the right panel, make changes to the task and Save.
- To delete tasks in bulk:
- Select the checkboxes next to the tasks you want to delete.
- At the top of the table, click Delete.
- In the dialog box, click Delete tasks.
- To manage a task directly on your calendar:
- Click the Calendar tab.
- Click the name of the task.
- In the dialog box, you can take the following task actions:
- To open the campaign in a new browser tab, click externalLink [campaign name]. You can also change the color associated with the campaign by clicking the dropdown menu and selecting a new color.
- To mark the task as complete, click the checkmark in the bottom left.
- To edit the task within the calendar, click Edit.
- To delete the task, click Delete.

- The tasks and events that appear on the calendar depend on the user's Object Access permissions.
- If your View and Edit permission sets are set to Owned only for all object types, you won't be able to see or edit unassigned tasks, or view tasks assigned to other users. To ensure you can see all tasks in the calendar, confirm that your View and Edit permissions for Tasks is set to Everything.
- If you've confirmed your Object Access permissions are correct, ensure you have selected the correct content and campaign filters in the left sidebar menu.
- The tasks and events that appear on the calendar depend on the user's Object Access permissions.
Please note: selecting the Recurring email checkbox allows you to view blog subscription and RSS emails in the calendar, but will not include automated emails that you created using the workflows tool.
