In HubSpot, you can upload files to the files tool and use them in your HubSpot content. Once uploaded, your images, fonts, audio files, PDFs, and other files will be hosted on HubSpot's content delivery network servers.

Once you've uploaded files, you can organize, edit, and delete them, or insert them into your content.

Upload files

  • Navigate to the files tool:
    • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Files and Templates > Files.
    • If you have a Marketing Hub Starter account, navigate to Marketing > Email, click the More tools dropdown menu in the left sidebar menu, and select File Manager.
  • Click Upload files.

  • Browse your computer's hard drive for files to upload. Select your files and click Open. You can also drag and drop files in the open file manager window to upload them to the folder you're in.

Please note: you can upload any file type to the file manager. However, for images, only jpg, jpeg, png, tif, tiff, ico, bmp, and webp content can be uploaded.

There is no size limit for files uploaded to the files tool except for video files. It's recommended to upload video files up to 1GB in size. If a video file is 1GB or more, you may experience an issue with uploading the file. All video files uploaded to HubSpot will be transcoded to stream at 2.5 MB per second by default. For faster video streaming, ensure you are using HubSpot Video, powered by Vidyard.

Please note: when using HubSpot Video, powered by Vidyard in your files tool, the file size may be reduced after upload. Vidyard compresses the file to reduce the amount of bandwidth the video requires when playing.

To view the size of an uploaded video in HubSpot:

  • Navigate to the files tool:
    • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Files and Templates > Files.
    • If you have a Marketing Hub Starter account, navigate to Marketing > Email, click the More tools dropdown menu in the left sidebar menu, then select File Manager.
  • Click the name of a file.
  • In the right panel, HubSpot will display the File size
