In HubSpot, you can upload files to the file manager and use them in your HubSpot content. Once uploaded, your images, fonts, audio files, PDFs, and other files will be hosted on HubSpot's content delivery network servers

Please note: files uploaded to the files tool are hosted on a public CDN file URL by default. HubSpot does not support the management of sensitive information. For more information, please see our Terms of Service.

Once you've uploaded files, you can organize, edit, and delete them, or insert them into your content. If you don't want your files to be visible to search engines, learn how to customize the visibility of your file URL.

Upload files

Before uploading a file, review the file tool's supported file types and sizes.

  • Navigate to the files tool:
    • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Files and Templates > Files.
    • If you have a Free, Marketing Hub or Sales Hub Starter account, navigate to Marketing > Email, click the More tools dropdown menu in the left sidebar menu, and select File Manager.
  • Click Upload files.

  • Browse your computer's hard drive for files to upload. Select your files and click Open. You can also drag and drop files in the open file manager window to upload them to the folder you're in.

Please note: when using HubSpot Video, powered by Vidyard in your files tool, the file size may be reduced after upload. Vidyard compresses the file to reduce the amount of bandwidth the video requires when playing.

To view the size of an uploaded video in HubSpot:

  • Navigate to the files tool:
    • In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Files and Templates > Files.
    • If you have a Marketing Hub Starter account, navigate to Marketing > Email, click the More tools dropdown menu in the left sidebar menu, then select File Manager.
  • Click the name of a file.
  • In the right panel, HubSpot will display the File size

Please note: HubSpot does not support the management of sensitive information. For more information, please see our Terms of Service.
