Use conversational enrichment for emails

With conversational enrichment, you can automatically populate contact and sales data using information from email conversations. This helps reduce manual data entry and keeps your CRM records accurate and up to date.
For example, conversational enrichment can detect when a contact is returning to the office from out-of-office emails, when they are leaving their job, and automatically create new contacts mentioned in email threads, ensuring timely outreach and keeping teams up-to-date with critical stakeholders.
Before you get started
- This setting is applied at the account level.

To use conversational enrichment, generative AI tools and features must be enabled in your account.
- Conversational enrichment processes one-to-one sales emails and replies to marketing emails.
- Enriched data updates CRM records. Any user with access to those records can view the updates.
Manage your enrichment settings
To configure settings for conversational data:
- In your HubSpot account, click the
settings icon in the top navigation bar. - In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Data Management > Data Enrichment.
- Click the Conversational Enrichment tab.
- In the Conversational Enrichment section, configure the enrichment settings:
- Email Contact Enrichment: automatically updates contact profiles by key information from emails logged in the account, such as Job title, First name, Last name.
Please note: when Email Contact Enrichment is enabled, the setting to Fill contact details from emails with HubSpot AI is automatically disabled. While in public beta, this setting does not require HubSpot Credits.

- New Contact Extraction: automatically creates new contact records. These records will be enriched with relevant data found in the email, such as Job title, First name, Last name.
- Return-To-Office Detection: automatically updates the property Returning To Office Detected date property when a contact is back from an out-of-office period.
