Report on deal split goals

Reporting on deal splits as a single-object report source allows you to measure sales rep progress within a simplified interface. By enabling goal line overlays, you can accurately track split revenue against established targets without hitting custom report builder limitations.

Before you get started

To report on deal split goals, ensure the following are turned on:

  • Deal splits must be turned on in your HubSpot account. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar. In the left sidebar, navigate to Objects > Deals. On the Setup tab, under Collaboration, click the Split Deals among users checkbox. In the dialog box, click Set up Deal Splits. Use the text fields to set up deal split user maximums, and the minimum deal split percentage.

  • Revenue goals must be configured in HubSpot to populate the goal line data. 

Create a deal split report

To create a deal split report:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Reports.
  2. In the upper right, click Create report.
  3. In the left side panel, select Single-object report. Then, click Next.
  4. Select Deal splits as your data source. Then, click Next.
  5. Select your desired properties (e.g., Split Amount, Split Owner) and visualization type.
  6. Click Save.

Add a goal line to your report

To add a goal line to your deal splits report:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Reports.
  2. From your reports list or dashboard, click the name of the report to open it.
  3. In the right sidebar, navigate to the Settings tab, then click the Advanced tab.

  4. Click the Comparison dropdown menu to select your comparison time frame.
  5. Under Reference line, select the goal you want to add to the report.
  6. The goal line will now appear in your report.
