You can edit, delete, or leave comments on activities on records including calls, tasks, notes, meetings, manually logged emails, postal mail, and SMS, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp messages. For comments, users with access to the record will be able to see and reply to your comment.
- Navigate to your records:
- Contacts: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
- Companies: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Companies.
- Deals: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Deals.
- Tickets: In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Tickets.
- Custom objects: In your HubSpot account, navigate to Contacts > [Custom object]. If your account has more than one custom object, hover over Custom Objects, then select the custom object you want to view.
- Click the name of the record where the activity is logged.
- In the timeline, locate the activity. If the activity details are collapsed, click the right right arrow in the top left to expand the activity.
- To edit the activity's text, hover over the activity, then click the edit pencil icon. Edit the text, then click Save.
- To edit when an activity occurred, click the date or time and select a new value. The changes will be automatically saved.
- To delete an activity, hover over the activity, then click Actions > Delete. In the dialog box, click Delete to confirm.
- To comment on an activity, at the bottom of the activity, click Add comment or [x] comments if there are existing comments.

- In the text box, enter your comment. You can use the rich text toolbar at the bottom to format your comment and insert a link, image, knowledge base article, or snippet.
- Click Save. The comment will be added to the activity.
Please note: an activity can have a maximum of 100 comments.
- To edit or delete an existing comment, hover over the comment:
- Click the edit pencil icon to edit the comment, enter your edits in the text box, then click Save.
- Click the delete delete icon to delete the comment. In the dialog box, click Delete to confirm.
