Interact with reports in the report viewer

The report viewer lets you save and quickly switch between up to five unique visual configurations within a single report. It offers an intuitive interface for analyzing, filtering, and gaining insights from your reports without needing to manually reconfigure or duplicate reports.
Access the report viewer
You can access the report viewer in one of the following ways:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Dashboards. On the report in your dashboard, click the View and filter icon in the upper right.

- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Reports. Click the report title.
Overview of the report viewer interface
The report viewer is divided into key sections:
- Report title: the title of the report. To favorite a report, click the Add to favorites icon next to the report title.
- Filters: use filters to refine the reporting data that appears in the report viewer.
- Search bar: type to search for a property name or description
- Date property: select a date property (e.g. create date, close date)
- Date range: use the dropdown menu to select a date range (e.g. this quarter, last fiscal year)
- + More: add a quick filter from the dropdown menu based on frequently used properties
- Advanced filters: learn how to use advanced filtering options
- Summary and visualization of report viewer: the report viewer shows a quick overview of high-level metrics, a visual representation of report data in charts, and AI-generated insights to summarize key points.
- Toggle Shows Metrics to see the overview of your high-level metrics.
- Click Generate to see summarized key data points.

- Data tables:
- Summarized data: matches the aggregated view of your visualized data
- Summarized data: matches the aggregated view of your visualized data

- Unsummarized data: displays detailed low-level data
Overview of report settings
The right panel of the report viewer offers deeper report customization across several tabs. Any changes to these settings will not be retained unless the report is saved.
- Settings tab: use the Settings tab to customize report details.
- Define:
- Show Metrics: toggle Shows Metrics to see the overview of your high-level metrics.
- Property: use the dropdown menus to choose properties and property aggregations that will be displayed in metric, dimension, and breakdown controls, as well as unsummarized data. Click Add a Property to continue adding properties.

- Dimensions: determines data bucketing (X-axis)
- Breakdown by: determines secondary bucketing
- Frequency: allows cumulative and frequency adjustments for time-series data

- Compared to: adds over time comparison data to your report based on the selected time range
- Reference Line: adds either goal or static number based lines to your report

- Trends: adds reference trend line or AI prediction data to your report
- Anomalies: adds AI-based anomaly detection data to your report

- Stacked: controls how reports with a breakdown stack values within each bucket
- Currency: controls the currency displayed in the report
- Reset Options: allows you to undo any changes to the latest saved version of the report.

- About tab: shows a description, as well as report measures and dimensions. Click Edit description to edit the description of the About tab.
- Data Quality tab: highlights data completeness and potential issues. To review a property insight or issue, click View property insights in Data Quality. Learn more about data quality insights.
Confirm or discard report setting changes
After you have updated your report in the report viewer, you can save the report as new or update as an existing report, customize the report further in the full report builder, or cancel changes.
- Navigate to a report in one of the following ways:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Dashboards. On the report in your dashboard, click the View and filter icon in the upper right.
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Reports. Click the report title.
- Make changes to your report settings.
- At the bottom, click Update existing report or Save as new report. You can also continue customizing the report in the full report builder by clicking Customize. To cancel all changes, click Cancel.
