Navigate to Social Settings
In your HubSpot account, navigate to Social > Social Settings.
You can connect the following social media accounts to HubSpot. Click on the social account below to skip directly to that step:
If you have already connected your accounts, you can skip ahead to read about configuring options for each account.
Before clicking Connect account, first make sure you're logged into the social accounts you're about to integrate with your HubSpot account.
How to add a Twitter account
Click Connect account and choose Twitter. If you have already connected social accounts, the button to Connect account will appear in the top right-hand corner of your social settings screen.
Click Authorize app.
For example, if you have connected your personal Twitter account already and are trying to connect your company's Twitter account, clicking Connect account will reauthorize HubSpot's existing connection with your personal Twitter account if that is the account your are logged into in your browser. Instead, open an incognito window and go through the above steps to authorize your company's Twitter account in HubSpot.
Once this has been successfully set up, you'll be sent back to your Social Settings where you will see a message letting you know this account has been successfully added.
You can click Publish to immediately publish to your Twitter account with HubSpot or Not yet to continue setting up your social accounts.
How to add a Facebook account
Click Connect account and choose Facebook.
Choose which Facebook accounts you'd like to connect. You'll see your personal Facebook account as well as any Facebook pages you have admin privileges for.
Check the box next to any account you wish to connect to HubSpot, then click OK.
You'll then see a confirmation message that you successfully added your Facebook account(s) and they will all appear in your social settings.
How to add a LinkedIn account
Click Connect account and choose LinkedIn.
Choose which LinkedIn accounts you'd like to connect by checking the box next to the respective account, then clicking OK.
You will then see a confirmation message that the LinkedIn account was added. Please keep in mind that LinkedIn authorization connections last one year for accounts connected in 2018, so you'll need to reauthorize your account connection after a year has passed.
How to add a Google+ account
Click Connect account and choose Google+.
If you have multiple Google accounts, you will need to select which account to authorize.
On the next screen, click Allow in order to give HubSpot access.
You'll then receive confirmation you connected your account successfully, and any associated Google+ pages will appear in your social settings.
How to add a Xing account
Click Connect account and choose Connect Xing.
Enter your Xing credentials and click Log in. If you're already logged into Xing within the same browser, you won't have to log in again.
You will see a confirmation message that your Xing account has been added successfully and see it listed in your social settings.
How to add a YouTube account
You can add your YouTube account to be used within a follow me module in HubSpot. Learn more about adding a follow me module to your HubSpot page here.
Click the Follow Me tab from your Social Settings page.
Click Add account and select YouTube. Then enter your YouTube page's URL and click Create.
How to add a blog account
You can add a link to your external blog's RSS feed to be used within a follow me module in HubSpot. Learn more about adding a follow me module to your HubSpot page here.
Click the Follow Me link from your social settings.
Click Add account and select Blog RSS Feed. Then enter your blog's RSS feed URL and click Create.
How to add a Pinterest account
You can add your Pinterest account to be used within a follow me module in HubSpot. Learn more about adding a follow me module to your HubSpot page here.
Click the Follow Me tab from your social settings.
Click Add account and select Pinterest. Then enter your Pinterest URL and click Create.
Configure the options for your connected accounts
Once your account is connected, you'll have the option to establish the types of connections you want between HubSpot and your pages. To enable these actions, simply check off or switch on the action next to each listed profile.
You can insert a follow me module into HubSpot pages and embed it on non-HubSpot pages. This type of module includes icons for your different social network pages so that those who view your pages can click on those icons and be linked right to your social pages. Blog Auto-publishing options
You can configure your connected social media accounts to automatically post a link to a blog article when it is published. If your blog is hosted on HubSpot:
- Navigate to Content > Content Settings in your HubSpot account.
- In the left sidebar menu, click Blog (below Marketing).
- Choose the blog that you would like to modify from the dropdown menu at the top.
- Under the Social Sharing tab, check the box next to Enable social media auto-publishing. Then click Save.
- Then navigate to Social > Social Settings.
- From the Accounts tab, toggle the Blog Auto-publish switch ON next to the social media accounts for which you want to enable blog auto-publishing.
Allow your team members access to post to accounts you've connectedEach account you add into your social settings can also be shared with your team members. In the Share column, check the box next to any account you want other team members to be allowed to post to.
Navigate to Social > Social Settings and click Publishing to connect your Bit.ly account to your HubSpot account, which lets you use a custom short domain when shortening links in the social media tool or building tracking URLs in the tracking URL builder.
