Select workflow triggers in Agent Hub

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

The following triggers are available when creating workflows in Agent Hub. Workflow triggers can be changed at any time. 

Please note: when adding triggers to workflows in Agent Hub, you can only select one event trigger per workflow.

Built-in triggers

  • Run manually: trigger the workflow manually with the run manually trigger type. When using this trigger type, you can run your actions without an enrolled record.
  • Run on a schedule: trigger your workflow on a set frequency. You can set a workflow to recur just once, or on an annual, monthly, weekly, or daily schedule. When using Run on a schedule triggers in the Agent Hub workflow builder, the workflow will trigger on the same day. Learn more about using 'Based on a schedule' workflow enrollment triggers.
  • Webhook event is received: trigger the workflow whenever a webhook event is received. This allows you to trigger your webhook based on events that occur in external applications. Learn more about using webhook event workflow triggers in Agent Hub.

CRM change events

  • Playbook Log: triggers when a playbook is logged on a record in the CRM. 
  • Property value changes: triggers when a property value is updated on a record in the CRM. This trigger represents exactly one property changing from one value to another. Unlike segment-based filters, it does not account for historical operators like Updated in last [X] days.
  • Record created: triggers when a new object is created in the CRM. This event does not have any associated properties. You must use refinement criteria to filter out unwanted objects from enrollment.
  • Segment membership changed: triggers when a record is added or removed from a segment (list).
  • User Updated Association: triggers when a record is associated with a campaign. Learn more about manually associating CRM records with campaigns
  • Quote Countersigned Event: triggers when a quote has been countersigned. 

Contact & company signal events

  • Buyer Intent Saved View Change: triggers when a buyer intent saved view is updated. Learn more about buyer intent saved views
  • Asset acquisition: triggers when a company acquires a new asset. 
  • Asset divestiture: triggers when a company divests an existing asset. 
  • Budget Mention: triggers when a company's budget allocation or spend intent is captured from conversations in HubSpot (emails, transcripts, notes, etc.).
  • Client signing: triggers when a company signs a new client contract. 
  • Company Spinoff: triggers when a company spins off a new company. 
  • Deal timing: triggers when a company's timing cues are captured from conversations in HubSpot (emails, transcripts, notes, etc.).
  • Division spinoff: triggers when a company spins off a new division. 
  • Earnings report: triggers when a company releases an earnings report. 
  • Event attendance: triggers when a company attends or may attend an event
  • Executive departure: triggers when a C-level executive leaves a company.
  • Executive hiring: triggers when a company hires a new C-level executive.
  • Executive retirement: triggers when a C-level executive retires in a company.
  • Funding: triggers when a company secures funding.
  • Geographic expansion: triggers when a company expands geographically.
  • Growth metrics: triggers when a company announces revenue growth or customer acquisition.
  • Industry recognition: triggers when a company has gained industry recognition.
  • IPO: triggers when a company has an IPO launch. 
  • Key stakeholder identified: triggers when key stakeholders have been identified for a company, such as the company's decision maker, budget holder, economic buyer, and champion. 
  • Layoff: triggers when a company executes layoffs.
  • Leadership content: triggers when a company executive publishes a leadership article.
  • Mergers and acquisitions: triggers when a company has acquired, been acquired by, or merged with another company.
  • Office closure: triggers when a company has office closures.
  • Painpoint: triggers when a company's painpoints are identified.
  • Physical expansion: triggers when a company has physical location expansion.
  • Product development: triggers when a company develops a new product or service.
  • Product integration: triggers when a company integrates a new product or service. 
  • Product launch: triggers when a company launches a new product or service.
  • Regulatory approval: triggers when a company acquires regulatory approval.
  • Research: triggers when a company has completed research.
  • Research topic surge (Bombora): triggers when specific businesses are actively researching a company's products or services
  • Revenue report: triggers when a company releases a revenue report. 
  • Strategic partnership: triggers when a company announces a new strategic partnership or alliance.
  • Technology investment: triggers when a company receives technology investments in the form of public/government funding.
  • Valuation update: triggers when a company has a valuation update. 
  • Visitor intent: triggers when a company enters or exits your visitor intent criteria. Learn how to configure your criteria. Learn how to configure your criteria.
  • Email bounce: triggers when an email bounce risk is detected for a contact associated with a tracked company. Event will be on the associated contact record as a contact signal.
  • Job ended: triggers when a contact associated with a tracked company starts a new job. Event will be on the associated contact record as a contact signal.
  • Job started: triggers when a contact associated with a tracked company leaves their job. Event will be on the associated contact record as a contact signal.

Call, document & meeting events

  • Call ended: triggers when a call has ended. This includes both calls initiated through HubSpot or through third-party integrations, such as Aircall. This will not trigger if the call is manually logged.
  • Call started: triggers when a call is initiated. This includes both calls initiated through HubSpot or through third-party integrations, such as Aircall. This will not trigger if the call is manually logged.
  • Feedback mention: [TBD]
  • Meeting booked: triggers when a contact books a meeting through the HubSpot meetings tool, or for logged and scheduled meetings from the CRM record page.
  • Meeting outcome change: triggers when a meeting outcome is changed in the account.
  • Contact finished viewing a document: triggers when a contact has finished viewing a sales document. This occurs when the user completes the view by clicking out of the document.
  • Contact viewed a document: triggers when a contact views a sales document. This represents the initial view of a document, regardless of whether the contact finished viewing it.
  • Document shared with contact: triggers when a sales document is shared with a contact.

Email events

  • Clicked link in marketing email: triggers when a contact clicks a link in a marketing email.
    • When further defining your email event enrollment triggers, both Raw URL and Original URL criteria will include any query parameters added by the user and tracking parameters added by HubSpot.
    • When using this filter criteria, it is recommended to use contains any of instead of is equal to any of.
  • Marketing or sales email bounced: triggers when a one-to-one or marketing email is sent to a contact and bounces.
  • Marketing or sales email delivered: triggers when a one-to-one or marketing email is delivered to a contact.
  • Marketing or sales email sent: triggers when a marketing email, or one-to-one email, is sent to a contact. This event will only trigger for one-to-one emails if sent through a hosted inbox.
  • Opened marketing email: triggers when a contact opens a marketing email.
  • Replied to marketing email: triggers when a contact replies to a marketing email.
  • Sales email send: triggers when a sales email is sent to a contact. This event will only trigger for one-to-one emails if sent through a hosted inbox.
  • Updated marketing email subscription status: triggers when a contact updates their email subscription status.

Whatsapp events

Subscription required A Marketing Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription is required to use Whatsapp events as workflow triggers in Agent Hub.

  • Clicked link in WhatsApp message: triggers when a contact clicks a link in a Whatsapp message.
  • Dropped WhatsApp message: triggers when a SMS message is dropped for a contact.
  • Opted out of WhatsApp subscription: triggers when a contact opts out of a Whatsapp subscription. 
  • Replied to a WhatsApp message: triggers when a contact replies to a SMS message.
  • Sending WhatsApp message failed: triggers when an Whatsapp message wasn't delivered to a contact.
  • Sent WhatsApp message: triggers when an SMS message is sent to a contact.
  • WhatsApp message delivered: triggers when an SMS message is delivered to a contact.
  • WhatsApp message read: triggers when an SMS message is marked as read by a contact.

Website & media events

  • Ad interaction: triggers when an ad is interacted with.
  • Campaign Influence: triggers when a contact is influenced by a HubSpot campaign. 
  • Form interaction: triggers when a contact clicks on a text field in the form. This event will trigger before a form submission, since the user needs to interact with the form in order to submit it. However, a user may interact with a form without submitting it.
  • Form submission: triggers when a form is submitted. When configuring your triggers by URL, take note of the below elements:
    • Example URL: https://www.hubspot.com/search
    • Base URL: the URL without the protocol or query parameters. (e.g. www.hubspot.com/search)
    • URL domain: the domain only. (e.g. hubspot.com)
    • URL path: the section after the domain (e.g. /search)
  • Form view: triggers when a contact views a form. The user that viewed the form must already be a contact in the CRM. Visitors who have not yet converted into contacts will not trigger an enrollment.
  • Attention Span: [TBD]
  • Media Play: triggers when a contact plays a media file embedded in your content (e.g., on a website page, email, etc.)
  • CTA (Legacy) click: triggers when a contact clicks a CTA (legacy).
  • CTA (Legacy) view: triggers when a contact views a CTA (legacy).
  • CTA click: triggers when a contact clicks a CTA or Web interactive.
  • CTA view: triggers when a contact views a CTA or Web interactive.
  • Page visited: triggers when a contact views a landing page or website page. If a user views a page and has not yet converted from a visitor to a contact, this will not trigger the workflow. When configuring your triggers by URL, take note of the below elements:
    • Example URL: https://www.hubspot.com/search
    • Base URL: the URL without the protocol or query parameters. (e.g. www.hubspot.com/search)
    • URL domain: the domain only. (e.g. hubspot.com)
    • URL path: the section after the domain (e.g. /search)

Automation events

Subscription required A Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription is required to use sequence-based event triggers.

  • Contact booked meeting through a sequence: triggers when a contact books a meeting through a sequence.
  • Contact enrolled in a sequence: triggers when a contact is enrolled in a sequence.
  • Contact unenrolled from sequence: triggers when a contact is unenrolled from a sequence.
  • Contact unenrolled from a sequence via workflow: triggers when a contact is unenrolled from a sequence via a workflow. Other unenrollment sources do not trigger this event.
  • Contact unenrolled manually from sequence: triggers when a contact is unenrolled from a sequence.
  • Sequence finished: triggers when a contact finishes a sequence.
  • Workflow run ended: triggers when an object is unenrolled from a workflow.
  • Workflow run started: triggers when an object is enrolled in a workflow.

Quote events

  • Anonymous Public Quote Download: triggers when an anonymous user downloads a public quote. 
  • Anonymous Quote Print: triggers when an anonymous user prints out a public quote. 
  • Anonymous Quote View: triggers when the quote gets a view that cannot be tied back to a CRM record. 
  • Closing Agent Conversation Started: triggers when a buyer starts a conversation with closing agent. 
  • Public Quote Download: Trigger when a user downloads a public quote.
  • Quote accepted: triggers when a quote enters an accepted state. 
  • Quote approval recalled: triggers when a quote approval is recalled. 
  • Quote approval requested: triggers when a quote approval is requested. 
  • Quote approved: triggers when a quote approval is approved. 
  • Quote buyer signed: triggers when a buyer signs a quote.
  • Quote Email Sent: triggers when a quote email is sent.
  • Quote Expiration Reminder Email Sent: triggers when the quote expiration reminder emails are sent.
  • Quote Expired Event: triggers when a quote enters an expired state.
  • Quote Followup Reminder Email Sent: triggers when the quote followup reminder emails are sent.
  • Quote manually signed: triggers when a quote is manually signed.
  • Quote published: triggers when a quote enters a published state. 
  • Quote recalled: triggers when a quote enters a recalled state.
  • Quote rejected: triggers when a quote approval is rejected.

Apps

  • Slack: when triggering workflows with Slack events. Add additional filters to narrow down the exact event. For example, you can filter only messages that include the phrase ready to sign. Learn more about using Slack event triggers in Agent Hub workflows
    • Slack user mentioned: triggers when a specific Slack user has been mentioned. You can filter by message text, channel ID, or sender user ID.
    • Slack message sent by user: triggers when a message is sent by a specific Slack user. This can be further filtered by message content. 
    • Slack member joined channel: triggers when a new user joins a channel. You can filter by channel, user, or the user that invited the new user. 
    • Slack thread reply: triggers when a thread is replied to in a specific channel. You can filter by message text or sender user ID. 
    • Slack message posted: triggers when a slack message is posted to a specific channel. You can filter by message text or sender user ID.
  • Google Sheets 
    • Google Sheet row added or updated: triggers when a Google Sheet row is added or updated to a specific Google Sheet. 
  • Microsoft 365 Excel
    • Excel spreadsheet row added or updated: triggers when a Excel spreadsheet row is added or updated to a specific Sheet.
