If you have a property in HubSpot that you would also like to track in Salesforce, you'll need to create the field in Salesforce and then make sure that it is properly mapped with HubSpot.

  • In Salesforce:
    • Navigate to Setup
    • In the left sidebar within the Build section, navigate to Customize > Leads > Fields.
    • Click New in the Lead Custom Field & Relationships section.
    • Select the field type that matches the property type in HubSpot, give the field an identifiable name, and click Next.
    • Select who should be able to see the field, as well as the page layouts on which it should appear and then click Save.
    • Repeat these steps for the Contact (CustomizeContactsFields) object and ensure that the field has the same API name on both objects.
  • In HubSpot:
    • Navigate to Account Menu > Integrations
    • Click Settings under Salesforce.
    • Select Contact field mappings in the left sidebar menu.
    • Click Add new field mapping.

    • Select the HubSpot property and the corresponding Salesforce field.
    • Select the update rule for this mapping.
    • Click Save Mapping.

    • In the dialog box that appears, decide whether you'd like to automatically sync your contacts now to update them with the new field mapping or wait until a sync is triggered for each of them.
