Navigate to Content Settings
From your HubSpot Marketing Basic, Professional, or Enterprise account, navigate to Content > Content Settings.
Email Settings > Email Types
On the left, select Email > Email Types.
Review your email types
You'll be taken to the Email Types section within your email settings where you can see any existing email types you have. This will show you whether or not your email type is active and the name of your email type, as well as a description of your email type.
Be sure to check the Show Inactive Email Types box if you feel like you're missing some email types; this will display all active and inactive email types within HubSpot.
Green circles indicate an active email type that you can use on any future email and a gray circle indicates an inactive email type, which was likely used previously but has since been retired from your email sending.
Edit or create an email type
If you need to edit an existing email type, you can do so by clicking Actions > Edit. The current Name and Description for the type will appear below. Make the relevant changes to your email type Name or Description (or make the email type active/inactive), then click Save changes.
To create a new email type, enter the name and description into the fields in the Create a New Email Type section and click Save changes. Your new email type will now appear in the list above.
