Navigate to Email
From your HubSpot Dashboard, navigate to Content > Email.
Manage Email Settings
Once in the Email tool, on the left-hand side, click on the link to Manage Settings.
Email Settings > Email Types
Once in your Email settings, click on Email Types in the left-hand side menu.
Review your email types
You'll be taken to the Email Types section within your email settings where you can see any existing email types you have. This will show you whether or not your email type is active, the name of your email type, as well as a description of your email type.
Also, be sure to check off the box next to 'Show Inactive Email Types' if you feel like you're missing some email types - this will display all active and inactive email types within HubSpot.
When you check this off you'll notice under the Active column, green circles indicate an active email type that you can use on any future email and a grey circle indicates an inactive email type, which was likely used previously but has since been retired from your email sending.
Edit an email type
If you just need to edit an existing email type you have, you can do so by clicking Actions > Edit, making the relevant changes to your email type Name or Description (or making the email type active/inactive), then clicking Save changes.
Create a new email type
If the email types you currently have just aren't making the grade for all your email sends, you can very quickly and easily make a new email type within this setting section. Just head to the Create New Email Type section below your existing email types, type a name and description, and click Create subscription. This will automatically make your new email type active and ready for your next email send.
