How to create and edit email types

Email types allow your contacts to decide what kinds of email communication they want to receive from you. For example, if a contact decides they'd like to stop receiving marketing emails from you, but would still like to receive updates from your blog, they can choose to unsubscribe from your Marketing Information email type and continue to subscribe to your Blog Notification email type. 

Each time you send an email with HubSpot, you must choose an email type. Think of email types as the category of emails you send to customers; every email must fall into one of those categories so it's important that you take some time to make email types for your account that make sense for your business.

Please note: email types are listed in the order they were originally created in HubSpot. At this time, it's not possible to rearrange the order in which your email types are displayed.
