Analyze payments revenue

After you set up HubSpot payments or connect your Stripe account as a payment processing option, you can create a dashboard to report on earned revenue. Use the reports to analyze total gross revenue across all payments, gross revenue by top- and lowest-performing products, and top-performing sales reps by quarterly gross revenue.

You can also customize these reports and create your own custom payments reports using the custom report builder.

Create a payments dashboard

To create a payments revenue dashboard:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Dashboards.
  2. In the upper right, click Create dashboard.

  3. Under Dashboard templates, click Gross Payment Revenue dashboard.
  4. In the right panel:
    • View the reports that are included in the dashboard. You can remove specific reports by clicking the checkbox next to the report. Then, click Next
    • In the Dashboard name field, enter a name
    • In the Who can access this dashboard? section, select an option to set which users can access the dashboard.
    • Click Create dashboard. The dashboard will then be added to your dashboards. A success notification will appear with a link to the dashboard. Click the link to access the dashboard.

View the payments dashboard

To navigate to the dashboard:

  1. In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Dashboards.
  2. In the upper left, click the dashboard name and select the dashboard you created.

Reports included in the dashboard

Below, learn more about the reports included in the Gross Payment Revenue dashboard. The reports don't include payments that failed, were refunded, or were collected with an integration, such as Stripe.

  • Gross payment revenue by current year: total revenue collected with one-time and recurring payments this year. 
  • Gross payment revenue by quarter: total revenue collected with one-time and recurring payments for each quarter.
  • Gross payment revenue by current month: total revenue collected with one-time and recurring payments this month.
  • Paying customers by month: payments made by customers each month over the last year. Customers are counted one time each month, even if they had multiple payments in that month.
  • Gross payment revenue split by payment type over time: total payment revenue compared with the number of transactions. See total sales broken down by one-time and recurring payment types.
  • Gross payment revenue top reps by current quarter: reps with the highest gross payments revenue collected this quarter.
  • Gross payment revenue from top-selling products with one-time payment: revenue from your top 10 products that had one-time payments this year based on number of sales.
  • Gross payment revenue from top-selling products with recurring payments: revenue from your top 10 products that had recurring payments this year.
  • Gross payment revenue from lowest-selling products with payment breakdown: revenue from your lowest-selling products this year so far, broken down by one-time/initial and recurring payments.
  • Gross payment revenue from lowest-selling products: revenue from your lowest-selling products this year so far.
