Create contact analytics mappings between HubSpot and Salesforce for Salesforce Reporting

To create customized reports in Salesforce using HubSpot contact analytics, you'll need to map certain analytics data to Salesforce. By mapping this information, Salesforce teams gain deeper insights, as they can access the analytics data directly on the Contact and Lead records in Salesforce.
1. Create a property mapping for the Original Traffic Source property
Steps to take in Salesforce
- In your Salesforce account, navigate to Setup.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Build > Customize > Leads > Fields.
- In the Lead Custom Fields & Relationships section, click New to create a new custom field.
- Set the field type as Picklist. Then click Next.
- In the Values section, select Enter values, with each value separated by a new line and enter the options below, each on a new line:

- ORGANIC_SEARCH
- PAID_SEARCH
- EMAIL_MARKETING
- SOCIAL_MEDIA
- REFERRALS
- OTHER_CAMPAIGNS
- DIRECT_TRAFFIC
- PAID_SOCIAL
- Enter the name HubSpot Original Traffic Source for the field. Learn more about creating custom fields in Salesforce. Then click Next.
- On the Establish field-level security page, select the profiles to which you want to grant access to this field. Then click Next.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps to create a Contact custom field by going to Setup > Build > Customize > Contacts > Fields. The field names must match for both the Lead and Contact object for the mapping to sync.
Steps to take in HubSpot
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Integrations > Connected Apps.
- Click Salesforce.
- Navigate to the Contacts tab. Then click Contacts property mappings.
- Click Add new field mapping.
- Click the HubSpot property dropdown menu and select Original Traffic Source.
- Click the Salesforce field dropdown menu and select the newly created HubSpot Original Traffic Source field. Then click Next.
- Select the Sync Rule for the field mapping.
- Click Save.
2. Create a property mapping for the Original Traffic Source Drill-Down 1 property
Steps to take in Salesforce
- In your Salesforce account, navigate to Setup.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Build > Customize > Leads > Fields.
- In the Lead Custom Fields & Relationships section, click New to create a new custom field.
- Set the field type as Text. Then click Next.
- Enter the name HubSpot Original Traffic Source Drill-Down 1 for the field. Learn more about creating custom fields in Salesforce. Then click Next.
- On the Establish field-level security page, select the profiles to which you want to grant access to this field. Then click Next.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps to create a Contact custom field by going to Setup > Build > Customize > Contacts > Fields. The field names must match for both the Lead and Contact object for the mapping to sync.
Steps to take in HubSpot

- Select the Sync Rule for the field mapping.
- Click Save.
