In HubSpot, you can add notes to contact records. It can be helpful to tag another member of your team in your note to make them aware of it. To mention someone in your note:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to your contacts.
- Click the name of the contact.
- On the New note tab, add your message. Type @ and begin to type your team member's name. In the example below, we are mentioning another portal user, Geoffrey, to ask him to reach out to Emily, a prospect.
- A drop-down menu will appear with all the users in your account. Select the user to tag them in your note.
- Click Save note.
Mentions work in any note fields in HubSpot (on contact and company records, deals and tasks.) The user you've mentioned will receive an email notification.
