Review WhatsApp subscription statuses

If you connected a WhatsApp channel to the conversations inbox, you can review the subscription statuses of a contact on the contact record. Statuses are split out to ensure that you're managing consent correctly between marketing and transactional messages.
Review subscription statuses for a contact
To review a contact's WhatsApp subscription statuses:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Contacts.
- Click the name of a contact.
- In the left sidebar, under the Communication subscriptions section, click View subscriptions.
- In the right panel, the Subscriptions tab lists the contact's current subscriptions. WhatsApp subscriptions are split into two different subscription types:
- WhatsApp Marketing: HubSpot will check the status of this subscription type when you attempt to send a WhatsApp marketing template message.
- WhatsApp Transactional: HubSpot will the status of this type when you attempt to send a WhatsApp utility or template message.

Please note:
- Any previous WhatsApp subscription statuses titled All WhatsApp Notifications will automatically carry over to the new Marketing and Transactional subscription types. For example, if a contact previously consented and opted into All WhatsApp Notifications, that status will be reflected for the new WhatsApp Marketing and WhatsApp Transactional subscriptions as well.
- Any previously created workflows or lists using the All WhatsApp Notifications subscription status will be automatically updated to use the WhatsApp Marketing subscription type. If you want these workflows or lists to use the transactional subscription type, you'll need to manually update them.
