Disconnect a payment processor from HubSpot

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

If you're using HubSpot payments or Stripe as a payment processing option, disconnect them in your payments account settings. After disconnecting, you can reconnect to the same payment processing option, or connect a different payment processing option. Learn how to migrate Stripe payment processing to HubSpot payments.

Disconnect HubSpot payments

Subscription requiredStarterProfessional, or Enterprise subscription is required to use HubSpot payments.

Before disconnecting HubSpot payments, please be aware of the following:

  • Customers won't be able to pay any existing payment links, quotes, or invoices.
  • All subscriptions will be canceled and payments won't be collected.
  • You won't be able to issue refunds from HubSpot.
  • Payments and payout data in HubSpot will be read-only.

To disconnect HubSpot payments:

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Payments Account.
  3. In the upper right, click Actions, then select Disconnect processor.

  4. Review the details in the dialog box.

  5. Click Continue to start the disconnection process.
  6. Click the Reason for disconnect dropdown menu and select a reason.
  7. In the text field, enter any feedback.
  8. Click Disconnect HubSpot Payments.
  9. If your account doesn't have any transactions, subscriptions, or stored payment methods, HubSpot payments will be disconnected. If the account has transactions, subscriptions, or stored payment methods, a support ticket will automatically be created with the appropriate HubSpot team to continue the disconnection process on your behalf. The team will contact you if they need further information.

To set up a new payment processing option, set up Stripe as a payment processing option or reconnect HubSpot payments.

Disconnect Stripe as a payment processing option

Before disconnecting Stripe as a payment processing option, please be aware of the following:

  • Customers won't be able to pay any existing payment links, quotes, or invoices.
  • All subscriptions will be canceled and payments won't be collected.
  • You won't be able to issue refunds from HubSpot. Refunds should be issued through Stripe.
  • Payments data in HubSpot will be read-only.

To disconnect Stripe as a payment processing option:

  1. In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
  2. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Payments Account.
  3. Click the Actions dropdown menu in the upper right of Account overview, then click Disconnect processor.

  4. Review the details in the dialog box.

  5. Click Disconnect Stripe to confirm disconnection.

If you'd like to set up a new payment processing option, set up a different Stripe account or connect HubSpot payments.
