Use the updated record default layout

Last updated: September 9, 2026

Available with any of the following subscriptions, except where noted:

Please note: to use the updated record default layout, you must be opted in to the Universal record page private beta.

The default views for contacts, companies, deals, and tickets use an updated record default layout that opens in a new two column layout. The record header displays important information at the top, while properties, associations, and activities are organized into tabs and sections below.

Depending on your subscription, the layout includes default tabs such as Overview, Activities, Intelligence, and Revenue. Each tab contains cards that display information (e.g., activity timeline, associated revenue data), depending on the object and your account setup.

Each record page has three areas: the page header, the main workspace, and the right sidebar. You can customize property lists and associations directly on the record page. In edit mode, you can add, remove, and reorder cards without going to settings. You can also add and customize sections and tabs.

You can switch back to the classic experience at any time by clicking View classic experience in the header.
