Use AI assistants with workflow actions (BETA)

Use AI assistants to add actions to your workflow. When using AI assistants to add workflow actions, you can generate the following action types:
- Create Task
- Create object
- Set property
- Copy company property
- Set Marketing Contact Status
- Manage communication subscriptions
- Send Slack Notification
- Send internal email notification
- Send in-app notifications
- Delays
- Delay until date
- Rotate record to owner
Please note: please avoid sharing any sensitive information in your prompts. To improve the product, HubSpot logs and stores your prompts, generated language, and usage metrics when you use AI assistants. HubSpot shares your prompts with OpenAI in order to enable your use of this tool and OpenAI will store your prompts for content moderation purposes. Your prompts will be attributable to you. By using this tool in beta, you agree to comply with HubSpot’s Beta Terms as well as OpenAI’s Usage Policies, Content Policy, and Sharing & Publication Policy.
Turn on AI assistants in workflows
AI assistant features in tools that involve customer data, such as workflows, are turned off by default.
To turn on AI assistants in workflows:
- In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar menu, navigate to AI assistants.
- Read through the terms of use for AI assistants, then select the checkbox. You cannot use AI assistants with this checkbox cleared.
- To turn on AI assistants for analyzing customer data, click to toggle the Customer analysis checkbox on.
Add actions to your workflow with AI assistant
To use AI assistant to suggest actions for your workflow:- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automations > Workflows.
- Click the name of an existing workflow.
- In the workflow editor, click Edit with AI in the top right.
- In the Add actions text box, type what actions you want to add to the workflow. Then, click Generate actions.
- In the preview screen, review the suggested actions.
- to further customize a workflow action, click on the action. Learn more about using actions in workflows.
- To add the suggested actions to your workflow, in the top right, click Keep new actions.
- To discard the suggested actions, in the top right, click Discard new actions.
